Q: Can you use metal utensils with it? Sounds like it could cause scratches but I was wondering if it was safe health-wise since the specs say it contains chromium/nickel/manganese/phosphourous?

Q: Does the handle get hot when cooking on the stove top?

  • A: The Tramontina 3QT Tri-ply Clad Deep Saute Pan is oven-safe at temperatures up to 500°F. Even though the handles are oven-safe, they will get hot in the oven and on the stovetop, particularly gas stoves where an open flame is used. Was gonna go with All-Clad but didn’t have the money at the moment. I love this sauté pan. I use it for almost every dish-soups, curry, stir fry, etc. Pan frying dumplings come out extremely beautiful when cooked in this. This is my first SS pan and I look forward to buying more for my collection! Bar keepers friend is amazing with cleaning and getting the stuck bits off the pan!
