The boys love that they can smash it and it turns into race car mode! This is a great affordable toy that is a Transformer all in one!

However after two or three times changing it in one-step (smack on the floor), my five year old walked away from it. It wasn’t engaging enough to keep their attention for imaginative play. It would be easy for a young child who loves transformers to enjoy with no complicated maneuvers required to change it.

The "smash-to-change" feature is incredibly satisfying and adds a unique twist to the typical Transformers toys. Transforming it from a sleek plane to a powerful robot feels smooth and intuitive, making it fun to play with again and again. The 4-inch size fits perfectly in my daughter's hand, and the design really captures Megatron’s character from the EarthSpark series. I love how sturdy, versatile, and safe it is, which gives me confidence that it can withstand plenty of playtime and safe for my kids. Packaging is nice too, you can see the product from outside as it's not placed inside a sealed box. It's definitely a standout piece in my collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice pretend robot for imaginary play. It’s a great size for smaller hands. It is to convert from a space ship to a robot while “smashing”. I found this difficult to do. It took me several tries to figure it out. I had to pry at the pieces not smash them to go from the ship to the robot. There was an image on the box showing how to convert but it really wasn’t any help. You have to push down on the black bottom piece to release the robot. Sometimes when you are forming the ship it doesn’t lock into place. Since I had difficulty I would think a child would also have issues. It’s nice concept, just not a smooth conversion.

It transforms instantly with just a smash, which makes it super fun and easy for kids to play with. My 7-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter both love it and have been having a blast. You can fold the robot into a plane, and then tap it on a flat surface and it would convert back to a robot. Its quick and easy transformation from a plane to a robot and back makes it fun and engaging. You can technically "smash" it but since it is just plastic, I would recommend be gentle with it, as the plastic isn't extra strong. The plastic material is about the same as other plastic toys. The toy is a compact size, about 4 inches tall, so it's easy to carry into the car for kids to play with. I like the details of the robot, the face and body have good design.

They said it was easy to unpack, you just need to cut a couple ties. They said it is EASY to transform which they really liked as a feature. They said it would play well with their other toys, especially their Lego sets. It is smaller than I anticipated but they do not see that as a draw back.
