Relieve your cough with the Vicks Vapo Steam cough suppressant. Add a few drops to hot water during baths, vaporizer or humidifier for relief from cold-derived coughs. Steam inhalation with Vicks Vapo steam will relieve a dry, irritated throat. This Vicks liquid medicine works great with vaporizers and humidifiers. The camphor based formula has a great smell. A: Eucalyptus oil is highly toxic to dogs and cats and should never be used on them. Toxicity: Eucalyptus oil contains a compound called eucalyptol, which can cause severe respiratory irritation, seizures, and even death in dogs. Droplets of this in the air effectively attach to pet fur and potentially ingested by grooming. Even small amounts of eucalyptus oil can be toxic, especially when ingested or applied directly to the skin.

This gives the same great relief without the cleanup needed. We are using it in a humidifier with a compartment for it, but it can also go in your bath.
