Vizio M215aw-K6B-RB 2.1 Ch 36" Dolby Atmos SoundBar System - Certified Refurbished

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this soundbar to use on our enclosed back porch. The sound is really good for a simple soundbar. The sub, while not the most powerful, if small and provide ample bass and boom. I already had a Vizio V51x-J6 for my living room. I am very happy with this bar. Do not expect the 2.1 Atmos sound near the V51x-J6 sound. The latter has a set of rear speakers and a larger sub. But for my use, the 2.1 sounds very good. If you have room for the rear speakers, I would recommend the V51x-J6. Both are great soundbars and produce good sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The M215aw-k6 soundbar + subwoofer is amazing, especially for the price. First of all, I love the sleek design. In terms of audio quality, goos luck finding a competing product with the same features (Atmos, DTS:X) for around the same price. Although it’s only a 2.1 system, the virtualized surround effect (DTS Virtual:X) does a great job of widening the soundstage, both vertically and horizontally. The audio fidelity is excellent throughout the range. The dialogue is clear, the highs/ mids are crisp, and the low end rumble from the subwoofer is just right. If you’re looking for a 2.1 sound bar + subwoofer without satellites, you literally can’t go wrong with this one. The only drawback that I’ve noticed is a very slight delay before the audio kicks in when switching between formats (I.e. from PCM to Atmos content), but, it literally only lasts a second, and once it kicks in, there’s no delay, nor does it happen again while playing anything, so I wouldn’t even deduct a star for this. Hopefully, Vizio can update this with a firmware update (which they may have, I still have to update mine). Overall, extremely happy with my purchase; there’s a reason this setup has great reviews.

Within 2-3 weeks, however, we have had to do a complete reset of the sound bar and still have intermittent connection issues. Also, like I said, the sound is so-so at best. For example, there have been a couple of times when I've asked my wife why she isn't using the sound bar and she said she didn't realize she wasn't (this is how we initially found out we were having connection issues). Sorry, the point of a sound bar is to sound distinctively better than the TV speakers. The best thing I can say about the subwoofer is that it is subtle. There are certainly times when you get a big sound from it when a scene calls for it, but mostly you barely know it's working. I realize this is not a top-of-the-line unit, but even for what I paid I expected more. I would not recommend or buy this product again in the future.

The subwoofer's sound is subtle at best, I can hear that it is working but it has yet to actually make a significant difference to the overall experience. Maybe I haven't watched the right show for it to show it's capabilities

It sounds like my living room is a movie theater now. It amazes me how so much sound comes from such a small sleek bar. And the bass of the subwoofer is so intense that you can actually feel the rumbling from it! Plus the option to connect with your smart assistant is so innovative. This is by far the best quality and affordable sound bar that I've owned. I would definitely recommend this product.

I would definitely recommend this to others if they want an affordable great speaker that does the job. My wife and kids love it - i just like the really high end sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that the sub is wireless. We’ve got it in the corner back of the living room and don’t have to deal with running cables other than power. Everything sounds really good & my phone connects with no issue via Bluetooth. I do a lot of streaming of music from my phone in the living room which this works great for and has a nice full sound. The only irritating thing for me was because power and HDMI are on separate sides of sound bar it doesn’t make it very clean wiring it. Had to tie them off in the middle which is no biggy but We like to keep all electronics super clean and streamlined so nothing shows. Comes with a mounting solution as well although we did not use. The remote that it comes with is pretty cool too, it has a tiny screen at the top that shows your channel, volume etc
