Immerse yourself in everything you watch with the VIZIO M-Series 5.1-Channel 36" Soundbar System. It features a soundbar with discrete left, right, and center channels, plus two satellite speakers and a 5" wireless subwoofer to provide a true surround sound effect with low bass impact. The satellite speakers are wired directly to the subwoofer, so if the subwoofer is placed near the back of the room, front-to-back wiring isn't necessary, simplifying installation. DTS Virtual:X sound technology creates a 3D soundstage for your movies and TV shows. Bluetooth connectivity is onboard for pairing with your compatible device and wirelessly streaming your audio content. Its HDMI port is eARC-compatible, so you can hear display-based audio from built-in apps like Netflix and YouTube through the soundbar system. A backlit remote control is included as an added convenience.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a few days ago. Easy hook up. Everything worked out of the box. Minimal programming. I left it in movie mode. I can hear voices clearly even while action is happening. Only takes a couple clicks to surpass the TV speakers. I've never maxed out the volume as I think my ears might bleed. Exceeded all my expectations. Wife was outside and heard the booming from the woofer. You can feel the action. I could go on how happy I am with this system but you get it. And $80.00 off didn't hurt. I absolutely love it.

I'd really like to know how to keep the commercials being so loud! I'd also like to see a display on the bar which has lcd words, not just different lights that take an interpreter to decipher

    Great sound, but rear speaker stopped working

    I had the speakers working fine for a month or so and one of the rear speakers stopped working. It appeared to be a loose connection on the cable front, but I could get it to last for a few minutes after reconnecting the speaker. When I swapped the left and right rear speakers, it became obvious that it was not the cables, but the speaker had died. Support was limited to text support which pointed me to update firmware which did not help. I see no option to buy a replacement speaker as well. Or if it is there, it is not easily discoverable. Hope others are not seeing similar issues!

    Connecting to the TV was easy, and I love the surround sound. However, I have just not been able to use it as a Bluetooth speaker with my phone or Alexa. The Vizio bar kept saying it is pairing mode, but none of the devices can see it. I have and use other Bluetooth devices at home, so I know the issue is with this Vizio device.

However I want the readers to be more aware than I was ( and admittedly this is true of ANY new soundbar/older TV combo, not just a Vizio issue). When the soundbar arrived I eagerly unpacked it and started to set it up. Oops, my older (6-7 yrs) TV did not have the HDMI/ARC output nor an optical output from the TV. The only TV output was Coaxial/Digital. I'm too stubborn to send this highly acclaimed soundbar, so after exhaustive research I misfired on one option, returned it and finally found my solution, a "Optical to Coaxial or Coax to Optical Digital Audio Converter Adapter, Bi-Directional Digital Coaxial to/from SPDIF Optical (Toslink) Audio Signal Converter/Repeater". Voila! I love my Vizio!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this soundbar for a few months now and it was a big improvement from my 2.1 Dolby atmos soundbar as far as sound quality, true Dolby atmos, and soundbar features. At times I will say the soundbar doesn’t switch inputs when you change the tv input or no sound is produced until you power the soundbar off and back on this happens daily and is really the only complaint I have. I would also recommend an 8k hdmi cable esp if you are doing video/sound pass through with a streaming box/product because when I used a 4K cable some apps I would use on the tv had a lag when changing songs, movies, shows, etc and the screen would go black for about 5seconds but the 8k cable made that go away. Overall great product and I recommmend
