Vornado 530 Linen Vortex Fan: Portable Room Fan, Quiet Operation, Adjustable Tilt, 3 Speeds, ETL Listed, Indoor Use

Exactly what I wanted. It is perfect! I have nothing more to say. If it is too short don't post it.

We bought this fan to circulate air in our basement room to avoid having mold growth. It is perfect for the job. We are impressed by the unit's quiet efficiency and by the amount of air it moves! This is the 5th Vornado we have purchased. We love them!!

I have had my Vornado 530 for ten years. It’s been running day and night for most of the last ten years, and it’s never failed me once. I disassemble it to give it a good cleaning now and then, and put a few drops of bearing lubricant on the motor shaft, and this thing is as good as new. Can’t recommend it enough, or anything from Vornado for that matter. I like having the air moving in my room, and I also enjoy the white-noise. No droning or rattling or clicking - just a nice motor and turbine sound.

I have owned Vornado's for over 40 years. Currently, I have a 630, 683 pedestal, a Pivot, and two of these 530's. These two are my 4th and 5th 530's It is only now that these last two Stopped Working, like the last two that I realize that THESE FANS ARE DEFECTIVE by manufacture. The fans work beautifully for one season, THEN Slowly But Surely STOP WORKING You can Only Clean the Fan Blades THATS NOT THE PROBLEM The Problem Is - The Motor Sucks Up Dust, CANT BE CLEANED, And SEIZES UP First you Can't Tilt It Upwards Without it Making Loud Noises when started THEN IT JUST STOPS WORKING and Overheats. I have had 5 of these, THEY ALL SEIZED and are garbage. IT IS CLEAR Vornado Knows This - READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, they all say the same thing. If you are thinking of buying one of these Make sure you CHECK THE MAUFACTURE DATE on the Unit you buy Your 5 year warranty runs from Then - unless you happen to be able to locate your sales receipt, YOU WILL BE OUT OF LUCK. I really want to love this fan, its perfect sized for a small room, the settings are ideal. But the motor buzzes/vibrates on low. It's not the fan guard buzzing either it's straight from the motor. There's nothing to finagle or tighten to fix this buzzing.

Bought as a replacement for a similar Vornado product that finally wore out after about twenty five years. Same basic specs, but even quieter and the switch has better ergonomics than the old one.

Had it just a little over a year. Just stopped working. I've never had that happen before but now I'm reading all the reviews that say the same thing about this product. It stops working. Most say in less than a year!

Randomly stopped working, won't turn on. Very disappointing. For such a pricey fan it should last. I haven't even had it a year.

DURABLE AND UP TO DATE TECHKNOLOGY

We were excited for the compact size and good air flow as our daughter moved into a dorm without air conditioning. She is on the top floor, so she needs good air flow. She returned to her room on the third evening and tha vornado will not turn on!! Very disappointed. She tried multiple outlets and nothing worked.

Have had Vornado fans for years. Generally very reliable .

I love my 530 Fan. Use it everyday. Have had this fan for about 2 years, no problems until today, the three speed dial broke. Called customer service and they mailed another one out to me the next day, free of charge. Now thats A+++ Customer Service!!

We purchased the large Vornado Tower Fan not even a year ago, and it just stop working. It won't turn on at all. For the price we bought it for, it should last a lot longer. What a disappointment.

The older models were amazing. I had one or the smaller ones from 2015 and it heat a pretty large bedroom well and lasted a couple years until i gave it to a neighbor when moving. It did it's job so well I was always telling people about it when the mention of a heater came up. Now I am embarrassed and this is why: Sept 2017 I bought 2 of the metal whole room heaters, one of them stopped working just like the other reviewers and upon bringing it back to the retailer for exchange, chose a different model of Vornado heater. Same thing happened only it didn't take a month to stop working, it took 1 hour. Turned it on, it started to warm up then the fan stopped and heat stopped. I tried the heater in a neighbors property, tried different outlets, and even plugged in the neighbors heater to ensure there wasn't something wrong with the outlets in my property. So, I get to lug it all the way back from south Brooklyn to 23rd Street Manhattan to exchange it again but this time for a different brand. I am so disappointed, the older models were amazing. I never write reviews. Hopefully Vornado gets enough of these complaints that they are convinced to work with whomever they worked with before w/ manufacturing, vendors etc...

I bought this last summer to use in my bedroom on hot nights in the summer. I live in San Diego so it doesn't get a lot of use. This summer, so one year later, it kept slowing down and then would just stop. I would turn it off for a while and it usually came back on. Today it completely stopped working. I have never had a fan stop working g in such a short time. Most of our fans last several years.

In less then 2 months of purchase my vornado stopped working out of nowhere for no reason apparently... Very disappointed. When it was working it was great, but for the price I paid it should last longer honestly.

Love this product. Unfortunately fan died shortly after purchase but Rhonda D from KS was extremely helpful in sending a replacement. Very satisfied with customer service!

These are great and really do circulate a LOT of air. but they die. I had 4, and every single one stopped working. you cannot oil them or do anything to prolong their lives. for the price, that is not ok. they did fall under the warranty period, and were replaced, but the replacements all met the same fate. these are too expensive to be a disposable product. not to mention the landfill space they take up. how about making them user maintainable? or offering replacement motors at a reasonable price, so at least all that plastic doesn't have to get chucked? very disappointing, because they are designed well otherwise. having 6 fail is just. . . crazy

My band uses these fans when performing outdoors when it's hot. We set them up and they do all the work of cooling us off. Life saver! We thrown them in the car, drag them out for performances. Durable. They are a bit tricky to clean. Works great for us.

One my second fan to fail. Both fans just quit working. Do NOT waste your money.
