Vornado 783DC Large Whole Room Air Circulator Fan White: Adjustable Pedestal, 99 Speeds, 100-300 sq. ft. Coverage

I'm using this fan in my basement to keep air circulating. It's very quiet and efficient.

I have three different Vornado models. I appreciate that they’re made in the USA. I had high hopes for this one, especially considering its price. Notice in all the pictures they don’t show you the power cord. It almost seems like it was an after thought. It ruins the entire design esthetic and looks like a cheap after thought. Also the fan is a little loud. I expect better from Vornado. Especially at this price point.

Does as advertised,extremely satisfied with this product. Would be so much better if it would oscillate.

A great fan/air Circulator! This is my 3rd Vornado. I bought my first one 30 years ago. It still works but the on/off knob was accidentally completely broken off. A replacement part is no longer available so they honored their Warranty and gave me a huge discount on a new model. The Company as well as their products are GREAT!

I just received this fan and used it for the first time. It is energy efficient and has a variable speed dial which is great instead of 3 speeds. My father bought his Vornado fan in the early 70’s, which I inherited after his passing. He replaced the motor in 1990 and it is still working to this day! We love our Vornado fans and heaters! Highly recommended this company. Made in America products!

We live in Northeastern Minnesota in a house that has no cooling system. And from late June until mid-September, it can get hot and humid. The 783DC is not the answer as under these conditions, it only works fair to keep our large living room comfortable. One would think for the price I paid this "Air Circulator" would be more effective. I'm not saying it would be cool like AC, just be more effective

Typical excellent quality and design as expected from Vornado. Not happy with cord management on these types but the fan makes up for it. Think they should consider routing the cord through the frame for a cleaner easier to use look. Would recommend. I don't get paid or receive gifts for my reviews.

This was a fan-tastic replacement to a black Vornado my family had for at least 20 years which began squeaking whenever it turned on. This was purchased as a replacement and then died around the 5-Year Warranty expiration date. Unbelievable decline in duration of product life compare to previous older model. At the same time I also bought one of the white "energy saver" tabletop models which is still running smoothly 7 years later.

If you are looking for a powerful fan to blow the paint off the walls you found it! That is exactly what I was searching for when I purchased this only a week ago, and I just received it today. I am in love with it, as far as power I couldn’t ask for anything more… The adjustability is also wonderful if you don’t want so much power all the time… You can slow the fan to almost watch the blades spin! The ONLY drawback and complaint I DO have is that I wish the height was more adjustable or there was an option to purchase an extra add on pole to make it taller. I will be contacting the service department to see if I can buy one for myself. Another great product Vornado!!! You’ll continue to have my business for years to come. Thank you!!!

I have several Vornado circulating fans. I can’t live without them. Superior quality always.

It's fall time when I purchased so haven't used on a regular basis. I do like the fan but it's not as powerful as the Vernado full size flat panel. That flat panel in my opinion is the best fan they make. The flat panel actually feels like the room is being air-conditioned. But back to this fan. It's okay so far , will know more when summer comes and it's really put to the test. Meanwhile I am buying another flat panel.

Bought this fan a month ago.Works great .Really like the variable drive fan motor.Also love that it is made in the USA.

I’m purchased Vornado fans for my mothers home and my own for several years. They offer a quality product that is built to last and I live the silent sound.

I bought this to help keep our energy bills down in the unprecedented hot summer, where SE TX has had 100+ degree days for much of the summer. I put these fans in the rooms that do not have a ceiling fan to help keep the house cool. I initially put this in the living room, but placed it in the adjacent dining room instead, as the thermostat is in the dining room. With the fan keeping the hot air from the thermostat, I have been able to keep the temperature at 76 with the A/C working less and it feels like 73 inside. Obviously, I have to purchase another air circulator for the living room, which will allow us to have either a Vornado or ceiling fan in every room. This should help keep the power bills lower and extend the life of my HVAC unit while keeping the house comfortable.

This is my third Vornado purchase. I have two other DC air circulators in medium but I wanted something for my living room that pushes out a little more air. I use these Vornados as fans—not really as air circulators. I direct the air flow directly at me and they are positioned within 3-8 feet directly from my bed or chair. I still use my ceiling fans, too. This lets me keep my AC at 84, even in this 100 degree Texas heat.

This is a second purchase of the same fan. Speed dial controls the air flow, we like a little air circulation in the summer when we sleep and the dial in a low setting makes it whisper quiet for a good night sleep.

I am so glad I purchased the fan before the heatwave we are having in So. California. It worked great especially when our air conditioner went out.

This is my 2nd unit -- not because the 1st one (4 years old) is broken (it's still going strong, with a LOT of mostly low and medium speed use every Summer), but to have another for a different location in the house. I love the smooth and quiet sound (not as quiet at max speed), durability, made-in-USA, energy efficiency, and speed adjustability. The main floor of our home has a circular layout of rooms. We have some window a/c units upstairs, so a fair amount of cool air wafts down the staircase to the main floor. We use 1 or 2 (depending on how hot it is) Vornado fans on the main floor to circulate that cooler air around the entire floor...and to provide a mild (or stronger) breeze in every room of the main floor.

Bought this a couple months ago to keep air moving in our somewhat window-less house. We already have several non-energy-smart models (the black color), but chose this one for the continuous speed adjustment, and because the white color matches the room. Fast shipping, arrived in perfect condition. Super easy to assemble, just a couple bolts to attach the stand. We've had it running continuously since then, with no problems. Good looking too. Compared to our old non-energy-smart Vornados, it moves air just as efficiently, but much quieter, and the continuous speed adjustment is much better than the low-medium-high options on the old fans. However the "adapter" part of the cord is annoying, prefer the simple cord and plug on our old fans. Also wish the stand were powder coated to match the fan, again like on our old fans.

Great fan with amazing build quality. No complaints except a few things. 1) Power adapter connecter to fan is not fairly secured. A slight disconnect from the fan turns the fan off. Needs to be tightly inserted. 2) Wish it didn't have a power brick. 3) Make user serviceable to clean areas where dust builds up. Finally, wish Vornado sell parts to replace items that break like the fan grill/ clips. My first Vornado clips have broken from cycle of removing and installing when cleaning.
