Description
The safest way to keep your trees looking sharp, the Worx 10” – 8A Electric Pole Saw is a well-balanced chainsaw that you can easily hoist in the air. Or, take off the pole and use it for regular chainsaw projects down on the ground. It’s got a lot of bite for a 10” bar, and plenty of modern features that make it easy to use.
With a 28 ft/s chain speed and advanced auto lubrication and tensioning systems, you’ll always have a powerful saw at your disposal. The oil level window lets you know when you’ll need to refill. And the auto tension knob will never let you turn too far to potentially damage the chain. This ergonomically engineered pole saw features a handle that rotates 180° so you can turn the whole saw on its side without having to turn your body. The pole attaches and detaches easily. The handguard protects you from falling debris. And an off/on switch on the bottom of the pole lets you start or stop the saw without bringing it up and down repeatedly.
This is an electric chainsaw, so you don’t have to worry about all the downsides of gas-powered tools: This saw will be less expensive to run and maintain, cleaner for both you and the environment, and much quieter. This is 2 saws for the price of one. Plus, it’s the safer way to trim your branches.

Q: how high will this saw telescope for cutting
submitted by james - 3 years ago
A: Hello James! The 8 foot extension pole provides a 10 foot reach. Working directly overhead is never a safe option when trimming limbs from trees, so the calculation isn’t based on direct reach. Since the safest way to approach tree trimming would be standing away from the branch being cut and reaching up at an angle, the total reach factors in the average height of the person using the tool as at least 4’. When standing at the base of the tree and reaching with the Pole/Chain Saw at an angle, the average user can cut branches at a height of 10 or more feet. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance! Thanks! Darcy S.

Wife bought it for me as a gift. Love it! We live on 10 acres and I use this saw all the time. It’s light, powerful and easy to use, especially on an extension ladder. Would recommend to anyone, without question.

Saw is a little front heavy but was great for pruning the occasional limb. However, the motor is designed to fail. The shaft of the motor includes plastic pieces that will melt with any sort of continuous use. We had a storm come through the area and I needed to trim the downed limbs (2-5” in diameter) into 6 foot lengths for disposal and after 10 cuts in a row the saw slowed down and the electric motor started smoking from the burning plastic that had melted and was being thrown into the electromagnets. After the motor cooled down it was permanently seized and turned the saw into an expensive paperweight.

Our neighbor let us borrow this exact chainsaw and we will be buying this! We trimmed our 23 yr old oak tree and it worked wonders. Our tree had NEVER been cut back with anything but a pair of tree shears, so it needed a lot of work thinning out the branches of all sizes. We used it all day and loved it. The chain only popped off once. We figured out how to put it on via YouTube and then it worked perfectly again. Here’s a bad picture of what it trimmed! It’s nearly larger than our suv!
Works very well, but as a polesaw, a bit heavy.

I got this a few days ago, and used it for the first time today. First, as a chainsaw: The first time I turned it on, it cut quickly, then the chain popped off. I took off the cover, re-installed the chain, then tightened the lock nut more, and it worked fine after that. Made a few cuts on a branch and it worked perfectly. Next, as a polesaw. I have (well, now, had) a fairly small tree (~5" at the base, 3-4" at the cable) leaning against the neighbor's cable coming in from the street that I had to cut off above the cable before I could take down the rest. At full extension, I was able to cut off a few branches to lighten the load, then cut off the crown a foot above the cable. It worked well, but that 10lbs at the end of the pole was something of a challenge (full disclosure, I'm 67 but reasonably strong). I then had to trim some other high branches from other small trees as well. After taking the pole off again, it took maybe an hour to chop up the branches, then cut down the rest of the trunk into pieces small enough that they'll be picked up as yard waste. The saw worked like a champ. My only complaint is that for a couple of hours after I finished, I had cramps in my hands and forearms, probably (IMO) because of the unusual position of hoisting this mass above my head. I seem to be fine now (~4 hrs after I finished), but I'll bet I'll be sore tomorrow! That's on me more than the saw, but be aware that it is a significant weight you'll be holding above your head if you're making high cuts. And even if it breaks tomorrow, I've still saved over what a tree service would charge.
Must have tool for pruning small trees.

I'm fairly strong as I can beat a college baseball pitcher in arm wresting - With the pole fully extended it is too heavy to control well while using - is there a harness to help with the weight and stability The chain is easy to adjust, but not self adjusting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it to take down small tree in my court yard. Other than being a little top heavy the saw performed well above my expectations. Saw had plenty of power and was able to remove whole tree and the chain remained sharp. I wouldn’t recommend trying what I did but for the occasional limb removal it would be great. I also have the blower and vacuum that works great. Highly recommend Worx tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to replace a couple of ones that failed made by some Green company. This is still running just fine a few years later. I use it on hardwood with pole fully extended. Have to keep the bar tight or the chain jumps. I own several chainsaws.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just wanted to say, that I bought this 2 years ago and it has been a little beast. I have had to use it in place of my regular chain saw, while it was in the shop and it has chopped up some pretty big trees with no problems, just changing the chain out. I would definately get again. The only con to it so far is it leaks oil when not in use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have many Worx products and they were ALL GREAT! This pole saw was no exception. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It actually runs better than my brand name standard saw, and it reaches so high. I recommend it 100%. You will. not be disappointed.

This pole saw/chain saw combo far exceeded all my expectations. It is dependable, a compact ripping machine, and brush killer. This saw will rip through anything you bury the bar into with very low maintenance or upkeep. Will be buying many more electric Worx brand saws in the future. Thank you for the great product!

I bought this saw to trim the larger branches of 10 holly trees that surround my back porch. I have ample power outlets so I use a 25 ft. Extension cord. The saw makes quick work of the whole job. I like that I can detach the saw and use it autonomously from the pole.
