Description
Get gas-like power without the drawbacks of gasoline. The 18” 15-Amp Electric Chainsaw is cost-effective, because you’re not buying gas all the time. It’s cleaner, both for the environment and your hands. And it starts much, much easier.
Plus, it’s outfitted with a whole host of high tech features to take the intimidation out of using a chainsaw. First off, it’s only 11.2 lbs, so almost anyone can use and carry it around the yard. Auto-tightening and auto-lubrication systems take those normally laborious tasks and make them easy. Your chain will always be the right tension, without being too tight, and will always stay well-oiled so it spins around the bar at an efficient 12 m/s. The chain pitch is 3/8”, with 63 chain links, and a gauge of 0.05”. And the 200 ml oil tank has a handy oil-level indicator window, so you’ll always know when you need to refill it. The metal bump spikes grab the wood, letting you get a solid hold on the log for a smooth continuous cut. That spike bumper also reduces kickbacks.
The powerful 15-amp motor provides consistent performance for years and easily tears through all common backyard chainsaw projects. The 18” bar is designed to take down standing trees with a diameter of up to 18” and can chop up a log on the ground twice that size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since buying this chain saw I have literally not pulled out my WORX chain saw in over a year. This chainsaw is powerful allowing me to tackle numerous yard cleanups after severe storms. It cuts through large trees that fell after high winds pushed them over. In addition, due to its portability I helped many of my neighbors clean up trees on their property that had power failures. Just can't say enough about the portability and performance of large projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used it twice to drop two 30 foot dead pine trees and it cut them like butter and into firewood. Easy to operate and the electric cord was never at risk of cutting it if you pay attention. Very nice product that lives up to its potential. Highly recommend for personal home use.
Easy to use and cuts great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's almost ridiculous how good this chainsaw is for an electric. I was cutting through extremely green hardwood, 20" + logs, and this saw handled it with ease. Very very happy with my purchase.

I bought the saw just shy of 3 years ago and the electric motor burned out. Not alot of use on it and well taken care of. Longevity of the saw isn't very impressive.

Used this chainsaw on a dead 50ft tree that fell during a storm....and blocked my driveway. I did not want to use my gas-powered chainsaw....due to the normal mess, noise, etc. The electric chainsaw did the job for me. In fact, I gave my gas-powered chainsaw to a neighbor. Only problem I had was with the chain coming off a few times, but easy to put back on. I would suggest while working a long job....regularly turn the knob and keep it tight.
Very powerful chainsaw.

Did a great job cutting my tree trim logs for fire wood. Logs were 20’ from garage so 25’ extension cord worked well. Plenty of power.

I have had the 18 in. for 3 years. Performed better than expected. Cut several trees with base over 26 inch in diameter into 3 in thick stepping stones for the backyard. I even cut logs the long way for boards to make a work table. I figure it should have broke by now but no- I ordered two more s63 chains today and bought another 1/2 gallon of canola oil for chain lube.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got so tired of running out of gas (and oil to mix it with), bad gas, starting problems, etc that I decided to give the batter chainsaw a try. From the moment I first picked it up I loved how light it was. It works as well as any of the gas saws I own and I don't have to worry about lugging fuel along with me into the woods. I was very impressed with how long the batteries lasted and I could get a full day of clearing branches and trees before needing a charge. My only regret is not getting the Worx chainsaw much sooner. I'll never go back to gas or electric powered.

Awesome little saw . Not a large gas saw but not 500

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these several years ago, but was slow to get it out of the box. Then we had an October ice storm last year while the leaves were still on the trees, and the limbs did fall. This saw proved itself over several months of heavy duty use. Then my grown kids started borrowing it. Long story short...I bought another one. Now I have two, one for me and one for the rest of the family.

I was using the saw for the first time and after only 30 minutes of use the internal gears got hot enough to melt the plastic sprocket (part 50019119). It now no longer works and there are no replacement sprockets available. it is a expendable part on an electric chain saw that nearly every other company sells. So it needs to be kept in stock. The 'auto' oiler is also a drip feeder so you need to empty the oil out of the saw and store it on a oil mat all the time as it drips oil all over the place. Wish i had gotten a Stihl.
1 reply from Customer Experience team - 4 years ago
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and review with us. This part, the gear/sprocket is intended to withstand the chainsaws chain speed of 12m/s. At this time, it is just on backorder, we will indeed get replenishment of this part! Please ensure that the bar and chain have been properly oiled and lubricated. The proper functioning of the automatic oiler can be checked by running the chain saw and pointing the tip of the chain bar towards a piece of cardboard or paper on the ground. If an increasing oil pattern develops, the automatic oiler is operating fine. If there is no oil pattern, despite a full oil reservoir, then unplug from the power source, remove bar and chain, check for and remove any and all debris, reassemble bar and chain tension properly and repeat the process if no oil is showing, let us know as soon as possible. Also, remember your new WORX chainsaw is covered under warranty! Please never hesitate to contact us directly, we are more than happy to help! Please contact our Solution Center Team at 866-354-9679 Monday through Friday from 9 am until 6 pm EST for further assistance! Thank you for choosing WORX!
