Description
Depending on who you ask, winter is great (kids and snowmobilers), or it’s the worst (the rest of us). The WORX 20” – 40V Snow Thrower makes a difficult chore easier on those of us who get grumbly when we need to blow out the driveway. It’s lighter and easier to use than traditional gas blowers, yet has enough power to clear out a 20” wide path of snow with each pass, that’s 10” deep, and blow it 20 feet away. Its single-stage rotary auger is more reliable and lasts longer because it’s just one piece, and the brushless high-efficiency motor wastes less energy, which extends the life of the blower while improving performance. The chute rotates 180°, and the chute deflector is easily adjustable, so you can blow snow where you’d like it to go. It comes equipped with long-lasting, bright, LED headlights, for working after dark. And the handle collapses for easy storage or transport. The grip was made to be comfortable, too, for when you’re going to be at it for a while. This comes with two 20V 4.0Ah batteries to give you 40V of rechargeable power, and a 4-amp Dual-Charger so you can be as ready as you’ll ever be for that next snowstorm.

We are very disappointed with snow blower. We have numerous Worx tools that perform well so ordered the Nitro 20" power snow blower. First one did not work, was returned to Worx, another sent and this one is just as useless. Starts, stops, we are NOT able to move any snow and do NOT recommend this unit.

I ordered and recieved this snow thrower just before we have had copius amounts of snow storms and snow squalls for the past 4 weeks. Don't let the small convenient size fool you. We do go out frequently to blow no more than 10 inches (25 cm) at a time if possible. If it's more than that, or when tackling the icy windrow at the bottom of the driveway, we do chunk it up to be able to throw the snow. It is light enough to carry up a couple steps to clear our deck, and then proceed to clear a pathway along the side of the house. We even clear a path in the yard for the dogs (the snow is about 3 feet deep). I would recommend have a small brush to clean off the snow and I use a paint stir-stick to clear the axles of the wheels next to the auger. The pin along there is showing rust already, but we'll address that after the snow has ended for the season. It's not enough for me not to recommend it. For a double driveway and 40 ft walkway we go through 2 sets of batteries. If the windrow is extra thick, 3 sets.

I live in New England and bought this primarily for my front walkway which it handles fine. However, if there is a heavy or wet snowfall over 4 inches its really can't do the job and the batteries die quickly. Even in lighter snow, I literally have to push the snow wheels off the ground to clean down to the pavement. It would be nice if Worx came out with an equivalent to the EGO Power+ 24" or 28" snowblower for us northern climate dwellers.

I have several other Worx tools, and love them, especially the brushcutter for our farm, and the chainsaw. I would buy this today, as we have 15" of snowfall, but, until there is a purchase tool only option, I will have to pass. No way way zm I spending money on another charger and battery. It's unfortunate that this option is not offered as is typically the case with Worx products.

Works well till the chute gears break. The main gear is small and cheap. It broke and unable to turn the snow chute. No parts list to order a new one. Disappointed. Check chute before running after sitting in the cold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this a few seasons now. Works well for a battery operated snow blower. The snow can sometimes be too heavy or deep for it but we have short season. The shoot could be tougher. This hole was created by an ice chunk. I don’t know if I can get a replacement

I bought this for small amounts of snow and so far it is perfect for that. I was worried about the needing to recharge the batteries during a clearing of snow on my 2400 sq ft application, but not an issue (at least in 1.5” of snow). It is easy to maneuver, super lightweight and clears snow to the cement.

This is a great lightweight snow thrower for lightweight snow removal. I bought it as a backup to my gas-powered snowblower. I have a driveway that is approximately 2000 square feet. A week ago we had about 3 inches of light, fluffy snow, and it cleared it with ease. It was easier than using my gas snowblower and it cleaned the driveway better (right down to the asphalt). The batteries died before I had finished clearing the driveway, so I put in a new set. I finished the driveway and had 3 out of 5 battery power lights left on the second set. Today, we had about 5 inches of more dense, compactable snow. It took three sets of batteries to complete the driveway with 2 lights remaining. It did not do well on the more compacted snow at the foot of the driveway left by the snow plow. I could have used it, but it would have eaten up a lot more battery power. I decided to use my gas-powered snow blower for that. Conclusion: It is a great snow thrower for snow up to 5-6 inches (I have not tested it on deeper amounts). If the snow is light and fluffy, it works like a champ. If it is wet snow, it will handle it, but it will take more battery swaps. I highly recommend that you have two extra sets of batteries if you have a driveway like mine or at least one extra set for smaller driveways. Also, realize that when the batteries are depleted, they are warm and will not charge right away until cool. Mechanical: I found the rotating handle to adjust the direction of the chut to be difficult to use, and after a few minutes of use, the pin slid out, and the handle became disconnected. I put the pin back in but decided not to use the handle. Instead, I just grabbed the chut body and rotated it. This was pretty easy to do, and, in fact, I found it easier than using the handle to rotate the chut. Other than that, I found the unit to be designed well. The handles fold easily for storage, and the unit is lightweight and can be carried using the handle.

First of all, it works as specified. But, I am 5 foot 4 inches and it is a little harder for me to operate. It could use some wheels. It’s top heavy as the batteries are located there. It throws snow well, but our drifts are high, so the right and left throwing capability is useless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What’s nice about this power shovel is there’s no lifting of snow. It cuts a clean path launching snow ahead of you or to the left or right. It cleared my entire driveway, sidewalk, walkway, and patio on a single charge. Saved my back.

The unit turns off intermit when using it. I found that the safety button (on the right of the handle). Becomes disengaged. Holding the start bar close to the switch is how to keep it engaged. I have not tried to open the assembly to adjust the pressure switch and verify the solution. The pre assemble turn chute control does not stay in place. to use the chute you must turn it manually. there is no easy access to resolve this issue. During the last 3 storms it was great and I could complete 4 car driveway and 4 house walkways before running out of power. Hangs on the wall when not un use. Battery charges quickly. My neighbor were impressed with the power. Battery also fits my other worx tools

Nitro 40V Power Share 20" Cordless Snow Blower Update . My Worx Nitro 40V Power Share 20" Cordless Snow Blower worked perfectly right out of the box .Along with having my extra 20v Pro 4.0AH batteries I had bought for my Worx Nitro 40V Power Share 20" Cordless Snow Blower everything worked really very good and very fast too . Worx is a very good brand along with the power share really rocks too no matter is it's 20V or 40V or higher to the Nitro 40V . During the winter seasons of 2023 - 2024 and this 2024 - 2025 while all of my neighbors gas snow blowers wouldn't even start up for them .My WORX snow blower was already done cleaning out my driveway .Then I did some of my closest neighbors driveways too .At times I have blasted snow way beyond 20 feet when its the really light snow in the very early morning hours . Plus I have done a little upgrade by buying the 8.0AH Pro 20v batteries to use for my snow blower too .

Right out of the box, fresh batteries, and this thing bogs down and quits working the second it touches 4 inch of the driest snow I've ever seen. Forget about anything even mildly wet. How this thing has average reviews 4+ boggles the mind. I'd rather clean my driveway with a wet mop than try to use this absolute piece of landfill fodder again.

This replaces a very old (but still working) Worx corded electric snowblower. The power is about the same, but it's so much nicer to not have to deal with a cord! I've been even able to tackle the pile at the end of the driveway after the plow passes, although I sometimes need to break up the pile with a shovel if it is highly compacted by the plow. Still a whole lot easier than doing it all by hand. I need two sets of 4Ah packs to get the driveway and sidewalk done, so picking up a second set (if you don't already have them) is something I would highly recommend.
