We eat a lot of fresh baked sourdough and the crust can be quite hard, especially when it’s fresh. It wasn’t until I was buying another Wusthof knife that I saw this double serrated 9 inch knife. I only wish I’d bought it sooner. It cuts right through the top crust, through the bread, and through the bottom crust effortlessly. A pleasure to use.

I didn’t know that there is a knife able to cut any kind of hard ingredient as if it is soft butter. The only knife you will ever need.

We have valued and enjoyed a similar Wusthof knife for decades but it was single serrated. I recently started making homemade bread using freshly milled grain. Decided this kind of bread deserved the best knife possible and this one was absolutely worth it. It’s far superior to our old one. I accidentally ordered it in “blueberry” and that worked out perfectly too because now I can so easily identify it in the knife drawer!

For the price paid, I would expect real stainless steel. Unfortunately a little rust leaks out of the handle. That’s the only reason I’m giving it four stars.
