Yamazaki Home - Step Trash Can

There’s definitely some sort of design flaw with this trash can. When I step on it, the lid doesn’t come back down automatically and there’s this piece that keeps breaking off near the hinge. I went through two trash cans and both times it was the same issue.

Product needs two (2) fixes: (1) upscale volume/capacity by 50%, and (2) either put a removable bucket/liner on the can or allow lid to lock in the fully open position to make emptying the can less of a logistical/ergonomic hassle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this trashcan to replace one that had broken in our bathroom. This trashcan manages to have a smaller footprint but the same capacity. The liner holder works well and the mechanism is also good. As with all Yamazaki products the appearance is unobtrusive and modern with clean lines. I was surprised that this is plastic because I anticipated a metal trash, just from previous experience I think, but this is excellent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The geometric shape of this bin makes it a good addition to a bathroom and is comfortably operated with a foot pedal to open the lid. It's thin but has enough space. Overall very happy with the product and Yamazaki's customer service.

It's a little on the smaller side, but the clean sleek lines match my bathroom perfectly and the quality is very nice. It looks great next to my Yamazaki Home Tower rolling storage cart.

Really love this trash can, but would love it even more if it was matte and not glossy. Overall, still so clean and modern looking and gets the job done! Definitely on the space saver side so check measurements before purchasing. It’s perfect for my smaller bathroom! The step function works perfectly and the inner ring helps to keep the trash bags secure and hidden. Don’t accidentally throw away the inner ring!

Love everything accept the bottom. Since this is used in our bathroom on a tile floor it slips around a lot. We tried sticking rubber dots but the ribs don’t leave enough surface area. Otherwise we love it!!

Can’t believe how useful this is—holds so much for being so tiny. I wish there was a steel version
