Q: Does this bag work for sous vide? I'm looking to put them in water at a temperature of 148F, for about two hours. I read that they are BPA free and food safe but I would like confirmation.

A: Plastic is manufactured from petroleum products with the addition of various chemicals to produce a material with specific flexibility and opacity. Regardless of its BPA status, there are many other chemicals used in the formation of plastics that could leach into your food besides BPA. Storage is one thing, but I personally would never use plastic, at the very least, in any kind of heated production due to major future health ramifications.

These used to be great but have been changed. Now the zip-lock does not close. It's been every single bag so far. The zip will open and everything spills out. Ended up throwing the rest of the box away.

I've learned to check the measurements of the bags although it's something I've never had to do before. Only smaller breads such as Wonder Bread will fit. With the wider loaves of bread, it will not close.

No go- Try to save a little money by buying these off brand ziploc bags and half the bags or more will not close using the seal. Don't do what I did. Stick with the name brand which has seals that actually close.

Great product, durable. I use these for my kiddos lunch everyday. Easy to seal up, easy for my kiddo to open. I prefer to use these for chips instead of sandwiches. I put sandwiches in quart size bags to make it easier for my kiddos little hands to get the sandwich out when he is at school.
