The Master Lock 630DAST Set Your Own Combination Padlock features a 1-3/16 in. (30 mm) wide solid metal body for durability. The 3/16 in. (5 mm) diameter shackle is 1 in. As nice as it is to have a feature where you can reset your combination it’s also the downfall of the product. I brought this last week for work and I guess I accidentally changed my code without realizing it. I had to get the lock cut off as I couldn’t access my purse. Threw that thing in the trash once it was off. Will stick to the preset combination padlock.

writing this review to say it was a waste of money. husband had it for only a few weeks and it had to be broken off because the code randomly changed. if you need this for a little while fine but not a permenant solution. get the one with the key.

Stopped working after a short time

I used it for about three months at the gym when all of a sudden my combination stopped working before my workout. Ugh. Gym bags aren’t allowed in the class and so I did my own thing lugging around my gym bag.

BEWARE... Iwish I read the reviews before purchasing but never imagined a lock could be problematic. On the 1st day of use, like others stated the code changed by itself and the lock had to be cut off.

Do not buy this lock! The lock changed it’s combination while in lock position while I was at the gym. It had to be cut off. Good thing the gym personnel was so helpful, otherwise it could have been extremely inconvenient! Seems like it’s an ongoing manufacturing problem based on the reviews I am reading!

I followed the instructions and set the combination and tested it a few times and then locked up my stuff and it unlocked fine for that first time but the next day, it would not unlock and was a HUGE inconvenience.

This is a very sturdy and secure lock. I bought it because I wanted something small to fit in the gym lockers for when I go workout and it does just that. It’s easy to set the combination and two came in the pack I purchased which was another plus.

Nice and strong 3 number combo resettable lock. Love the fact you can change the lock combination just in case you give the code out and have to change it afterwards to restrict access!! Excellent Value.
