Directions ■ adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril, not more often than every 10 to 12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. ■ children under 6 years of age: consult a doctor. Shake well before use: To open, hold by the white grips then squeeze and turn cap. Before using for the first time, remove the protective cap from the tip and prime metered pump by depressing firmly several times. To spray, hold bottle with thumb at the base and nozzle between first and second fingers. Without tilting head, insert nozzle into nostril. Fully depress pump all the way down with a firm even stroke and sniff deeply. Wipe nozzle clean after use. To close, turn cap until it "clicks". Do not discard cap.Inactive ingredients

A: Hi Mary. Per the FDA Final Administrative Order (OTC000026) Over-the-Counter Monograph M012, for a 0.05% aqueous solution of oxymetazoline hydrochloride, adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age can take 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours, not to exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. Given these dosing directions, a user can take no more than 4-6 sprays in total per 24-hours. Given the instructions on how to prime the pump along with variability in consumer usage, we do not indicate number of sprays or doses on the label as this can vary.

A: The box states that it is made in India. It does not state where the ingredients come from. An alternative that was in the local store but not online is Vicks Sinex Severe which is made in Germany.

A: "Mucinex SE contains Guaifenesin, an active ingredients that helps provide relief from chest congestion. Mucinex Sinus-Max Full Force Nasal Spray contains a decongestant, oxymetazoline, that helps provide relief from nasal congestion. You can use both products if you are experiencing these symptoms; nasal and chest congestion. Do not use the Nasal spray for more than 3 days. Be sure to read label instructions thoroughly for appropriate use of both products. Mucinex DM contains active ingredients: guaifenesin, that helps provide relief from chest congestion and Dextromethorphan a cough suppressant. Terrible to open. TERRIBLE. I’m 40 years old and have great hand dexterity. My mother who often asks me to open difficult bottles or packages for her handed me this one. I don’t know what marketing genius decided that holding down on one part that swivels while trying to unscrew the other portion attached to the swivel part was a capable design. It took me way long than it should have and let me give anyone else struggling a bit of this advice, take the whole lid off then disconnect the cap and spray part. This is a TERRIBLE cap. Mom says the spray works great so long as she doesn’t put the lid back on!

Ive been using this product exclusively for at least 6 yrs now..yes the cap has always been cumbersome and contrary to open..but I still love it..my only complaint is due to the resent design change which created a smaller dose per spray..its ability to effectively hit the desired area in my sinuses has been diminished by this over engineering..please return to previous design thank you

I have been buying this product for the past two ( 2) years and never had a problem until recently , I'm unable to open the product the normal way , the only way I can get it open is with a screwdriver and this pulls the whole top off and then you can't recap it . It's a manufacturing defect !

I haves used mucinex for years and when I get stuffed up from anything I would use only one squirt and I r wet old be great gif the day. The change of the bottle though now does not give you one powerful burst. I have to push it 2 to 3 times to get the full burst amd it seems the top always sticks. The lid also is completely hard to get off so I don’t even put it back on. I found and old bottle and I now pop off the top of the new on and put it in the old bottle.

Now it depends on if you have the old style, if so YOU MUST SQEEZE the side where the grooves are a bit higher than the other side, then turn to the left by pressing down a little. Now the new cap. YOU MUST just apply a little downward pressure and turn left to unscrew, it’s THAT simple people.

I had the exact same experience as LESH. This is one of the most difficult products to open that I have ever bought. It's even worse than their individually wrapped cough drops where the cellophane is impossible to tear and has to be cut with scissors. I'll never buy either again. Too bad because their products like Nightshift and Kickstart are fantastic.

This product claims to last 10-12 hours and you can only take it every 12 hours. I used it for a couple of days and it only last about 4-6 hours each time and then my nose was completely stuffed again. And of I had to wait a few additional hours before I could take it again. Disappointed.

I just received product and was excited to try it. But! Your cap design makes it virtually impossible to open. I ruined the top and after several attempts to open it the container actually broke, liquid spilling everywhere. Please make a design so that people who have limited dexterity (arthritis for example) can open it!

I have been using this for 2 years and been very satisfied with the product. BUT now it comes in a new spray bottle that is awful to use. When you try to spray it, it only pumps halfway down and stops. Sometimes it jams and doesn't spray at all !! I don't know if it's a design flaw or a manufacturing flaw..

This spray is amazing! I had been severely congested for about 2 days with no relief. It literally felt as if concrete was poured down my nose. I was pretty skeptical about this spray but man, it started working literally 30 seconds after I sprayed it! It’s been about 7 hours since I used it and my nose is still congestion free! I’m so relieved I can finally breathe and smell! Love this product!

Best nasal spray! This is the only one that really works for me. It opens up my nasal passages within minutes and last about 10 hours. It’s has a nice minty cool feeling. I highly recommend this product! Mucinex in general makes good products!

This product is a total waste of money. The person who designed the packaging t ensure you cannot open it. I had to use pliers to get the cap off. The instructions on how to then access the medicine were useless. Even wth pliers I could not get in. They should fire the person responsible. Save your money.

It was my first time using it today. Does clear the nasal passages but…. My head felt just slightly not right, I was nauseous. Which I thought might be from the drainage. It could have been both. The worst part was the nervous feeling I couldn’t shake all day. Which also could have played a tole in me being nauseous I didn't know why I felt nervous. As it wore off I got less and less nervous. I just read the side effects and those were some of the side effects. I wont be using it again.

This is the only product that clears up my sinuses without drying out my nose. The new bottle design is horrible. It's very frustrating having to twist it multiple times just for it to spray correctly!

The child proof cap is so good even adults can’t open it. This is the second time I purchased this product and the packaging has been changed slightly. Surely there is a better design than this. The product itself works just fine.
