Not at all Nice and easy to assemble

Very unhappy with this patio heater. The base pieces (4 legs) did not have the proper structure/hardware (we checked all of the bags / in the box) and we were not able to attach the upper pieces. See the attached photos - the metal prongs at the top of the base pieces were supposed to be rectangular with holes in order to attach the upper pieces; instead, the prongs were triangle-shaped, with no possibility of attaching the frame pieces. VERY frustrated, because we spent over an hour trying to figure this out. Likely an error in production. The color / shape is nice but we were unable to use this product.

Observations on assembly of tower tube heater: Took 2 hours to assemble vs the 1 hour on the instructions Several parts were bent/ dented upon opening carton - no outside visible damage to packaging was apparent Needed 2 people to hold/align parts for assembly Directions did not include a comprehensive illustrated parts list or illustrated hardware count Assembly illustrations could have been better detailed Directions were difficult to follow, requiring partial disassembly to complete subsequent steps - suggest some steps include cross referencing to previous/ subsequent steps to avoid need to disassemble and rework Screws easily cross threaded and several were difficult to install due to tolerances - suggest screws be 1/4 inch longer The unit is tall and requires a ladder to perform several assembly steps. Overall the unit is attractive but could have been designed for easier assembly as there was over 50 screws, many of which had to be removed and reinstalled several times per directions not counting the few steps that required rework because of the poorly detailed directions

It took longer for us to assemble this than the instructions said which was 60 minutes. It took us about 3 hours. It was not complicated, but the instructions were not always clear and the pictures did not have any details. Once we got it together, it worked good. It has a nice ambience with the flame in the middle and was putting off some good heat.

Assembly took a while and have to work to get the holes to line up so screws fit in, but once past that turned on easy, adjustable from low to high flame, puts out good heat when standing close to it, it was 50 degrees out so will see how it works in a Minnesota winter, was easy to move with wheels, fits in garage barely for storage

Assembly was fairly easy since my husband has lots of tools. Once assembled, it looks great; the adjustable flame is gorgeous and really to adds to outdoor ambiance. It's not going heat the entire backyard but is nice if you are drinking wine on the patio on a slightly chilly fall night.

Fortunately I saw this reviewed on several other sites and knew that the instructions would be somewhere between not helpful and horrendous. People were saying it took half a day to assemble it. It took about an hour and we had to backtrack and reassemble three times, so let me save you some time and effort. Firstly, this is clearly one of many models that shares the same pamphlet. If you're remotely handy you can make sense of this, there are a lot of screws, and a bag of extras so get you drill with a screwdriver attachment ready and take all the screws out of all the parts as you remove them from the packaging. You'll need to lay it on it's side and it's long so I'd put down beach towels or yoga mats so you don't scratch it. Here's what's missing from the instructions: Make sure that the side with the wheels is opposite the side with the magnets (this will make sense when you open the box and lay everything out flat - which is what you were planning to do because that's the only way to assemble anything). When you install the switches they should also face the magnets. That's all. If you do that right everything else is pretty easy. There are notches and when the diagrams show two screws but you see three holes just line up the pieces with the notches and it will all make sense, I promise. This is an easy assembly and it's really quite attractive along with the price. Here's hoping I still like it in a few years.
