You'd better hope you never have to replace the pad and cover for this board because once you take it off, it's impossible to put back on, and the size of the board is non-standard, so good luck finding a replacement cover. And guess what! The cherry on top is that a decent cover/pad costs nearly as much as the ironing board itself, so you might as well chuck the whole thing in a dumpster and start over. I personally do not have any complaints about the height, weight, or adjustability of the ironing board. I only used it a couple of times before I unfortunately got a stain on the cover and made the horrible decision to remove it and wash it. I regret buying this board now that I know that the cover and pad can't be removed and replaced.

I created an account just to write a review to warn others. I bought this ironing board a year ago because I needed something quickly. I thought this basic ironing board would do the trick since I only iron for myself and not that often. It seemed to be fine until I noticed what I thought were hard water stains coming on the cover. When I inspected closer by taking off the cover I realized the whole board is rusted out. There was no rust visible on the bottom of the ironing board. This is ridiculous, and indicative of the cheap garbage being sold by Target these days.

This Room Essentials ironing board has several sharp metal edges that could cut your fingers, does not stay locked shut when folded, and is wobbly. On the plus side, the cover is good and has sufficient cushioning. Overall, this ironing board is well below Target standards. Will be returning it.

Flimsy. Even with gentle use, the lags wobble and flex. The "non-skid" feet slid around with the slightest touch. I bought my last ironing board at a yard sale 30 years ago. I doubt this will last a year with regular use.

Mine broke and I took great care of it! Don't waste your money on ROOM ESSENTIALS items, they are cheap garbage! My previous ironing board lasted 7 years and only reason I got rid of it at the time was because I wanted a new one. They just don't make hardly anything anymore of good quality. Skip this one, buy a Better Homes & Garden brand!

The board was SO WOBBLY! Maybe ours was a fluke, but it just did not feel like it was made with high quality at all. We returned it and haven’t found a better option that isn’t $$$ unfortunately:/

This ironing board broke within a few months, the bolt holding the legs together at the cross section bent and it slowly bent more and more until it broke and fell out. I replaced an ironing board I got 30 years ago with this one and it lasted less than 6 months. Wow Invest in the more expensive one, NOT this one.

Most ironing boards automatically lock when opened. Not that thing. It has the fiddly little lever you have to rotate just so to get it to lock. The lever doesn't always hold, so sometimes it will collapse unexpectedly. The height adjustments aren't even, so it is too short or too high. Terrible. Cover is thin, materials overall are cheap.
