Super gross. Don’t waste your time. The cheese was so watery and didn’t stick to “pasta”

The cheese sauce tastes weird. If you’re not gluten free and want something high protein, try another brand.

Flavor is so weird. Kids would not eat it and I thought they were exaggerating but it’s definitely not something I would buy again.

This is my favorite gluten free mac and cheese! But I only buy it when it’s on sale now because the price has gotten outrageous. It’s not worth the full price in my opinion. I prefer to make homemade mac and cheese for that price.

I have been on a low carb(bad carbs) and low calorie diet. Decided to try this product since it’s high in protein. Can I just say, immediately as it was cooking it smelled weird, then when it was done my first bite, I was ready to puke.. this stuff tasted so gross. Definitely won’t recommend to anyone.
STOMACH IRRITANT

THEY HAVE SWAPPED OUT THEIR FOOD COLORING WITH A STOMACH IRRITANT! This product used to be made with annatto extract made from the seeds of the achiote tree, which is a safe and harmless food additive used for coloring. Some &(*%&&%&^%^% penny-pincher at the company decided to switch that out with paprika extract. Paprika is made from dried Capsicum peppers and is a well-known stomach irritant. This is a product that is intended for people who already have digestive issues. Suddenly adding in a known irritant substance with no warning is beyond beyond stupid. It is negligent in the extreme. If you wake up in the wee hours of the morning with your stomach in agony after eating this product, now you know why. This company is cruelly hurting people in the name of profit.

Honestly one of the best boxed macaroni and cheeses I've ever had. It's definitely different from what I'm used to, but in a really good way. I hope they never change the recipe. The flavor of the cheese mixes so well with the chickpea flavor. I think that's what makes it so tasty. Also, as a plus, it's really healthy. Great amount of protein and low calories for half the box. Love that. A bit pricier than I would like. But other than that, no complaints.

I’m really shocked at the reviews this got. My whole family loves this stuff. It’s true the chickpea tasks funny plain but the cheese sauce in this is amazing!! You’ll learn how to cook the pasta over time. It differs from gluten pastas. I add a TB or two of butter and a splash of milk and it’s a family favorite.

I was hopeful for an affordable and high protein mac -n- cheese, but this was awful. The texture was bad and the flavor was gross- even my “eat everything” spouse had to tap out. Nearly the whole box went straight to the trash.

Does the trick

If you are really craving mac & cheese, this may not fully hit the spot. With that said, I have eaten other Banza pastas, as well as many, many alternative pastas made of all sorts of things, and this pasta holds up comparably to “real” pasta, and the flavor is similar to other boxed white mac & cheeses. I ate it because I wanted an easy dinner that felt indulgent but didn’t feel entirely unhealthy, and it totally did the trick.
I love Banza but this was sad

I love banzai pasta and cook with it all the time! But this banza mac and cheese was very sad :/ It just tasted like powder… I even added more milk and more cheese after the initial taste test but I couldn’t get past the powdered taste. I think the “cheese” packet ruined the whole thing for me. Sad day.
i wouldn't buy this.

Not bad for what it is. It obviously taste a bit different than regular Mac and cheese but I would buy it again. Just needs to be seasoned is all. Not creamy but not a deal breaker either

The taste was awful, the texture though was decent, pasta held up great. But it’s so gross if you don’t add seasoning to it. Do not eat this plain.

Love this Mac and cheese! Flavor and texture are really good and I love that it has a lot of protein. Just make sure to rinse noodles thoroughly before adding the cheese.

This is by far my favorite GF boxed Mac & cheese! I do add the two tablespoons butter, and it is yummy! I also appreciate the 16 grams of protein.
