La Roche Posay Effaclar Acne Face Cleanser Medicated Gel Face Cleanser with Salicylic Acid for Acne Prone Skin

My husband and I have been using this for a few months now. We can't live without it now. You can definetly see a difference on our skin. We use this brand for all our skin care now.

This cleanser was really helpful when I have been struggling with my acne. It doesn't dry or very much and you can see improvement in two weeks.

I purchased this product hoping for a miracle or at least results better than my tried trues which are failing lately. So far this does seem to be effective in clearing up mild breakouts. It's also surprisingly gentle, absorbs oil, and leaves my face soft and fresh. Without tight, dry feeling. TBH I had my doubts yet another expensive face wash was going work. Yet it does met my top shelf expectations. Happiness ☺️

I've been using this wonder for two years now, it's completely cured my acne, it's a soap with great protein content, with a very pleasant aroma, it creates quite a lot of foam which gives the sensation that it cleanses the skin quite well, its texture is a bit thick so you only need a little bit of this soap, I give this product a 10/10

I have combination skin and noticed that my t-zone was getting oily. The cleanser that I was using was barely doing its job. I randomly picked this cleanser, just focusing on the medicated part. I’m not acne prone but needed something that would do a deep cleanse. I’ve been using it for the last 4 days and already noticed a huge difference, especially the pores on my nose. I heard a lot of good reviews about this cleanser so I was so excited to try it. The first week, I saw results immediately. My acne was better and I barely experienced breakouts. However, I noticed my eye area was dry, red, and itchy. It was so uncomfortable. Sucks really. The cleanser is great but I'll find another one that doesn't dry out my eye area.

I have struggled with acne my whole life. This product has helped me a lot. There is no scent which helps with my sensitive skin. It lathers very well. A little goes a long way! I would reccomend this product to anyone and I will continue to use this!

I have been using this face wash for four years now, and it has been a game changer for my acne-prone skin! However, it can make your face really dry, so I recommend following up with a good moisturizer. As someone who has struggled with acne my whole life, I have nothing bad to say about this product; it has significantly reduced my breakouts. I still experience some acne monthly due to my period, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be!

This stuff is AWESOME! I have been using it for 2 months daily and I see a significant reduction in break outs. I have HS, which is a skin disease that can create boils and outbreaks in uncomfortable areas sometimes. I started washing my body head to toe with this cleanser and I haven’t had a major breakout since. If you have acne prone skin, this needs to be in your cabinet of go to daily routines. You won’t regret it.

It may be slightly more than some other acne washes but it is worth it. Daughter uses it on face and upper body areas affected by acne. Has made some difference.

I have had very acne prone skin, and even was on extreme acne medication as a teenager for relief. As I have came off the medication and experimented with different “acne safe” products, this one has been the ONLY one to not only keep my skin clear but not cause any sort of breakouts whatsoever. It’s light, it’s hydrating and the bottle lasts quite a while. 5 stars and officially one of my holy grail products!

It works but it dries out my skin especially in the winter so I use it 3 times a week I used a heavy moisturizer with it and a hydrating serum

This medicated gel cleanser is the best I've used-- it keeps my face clear of unwanted blemishes and "would-be" breakouts. I love that it is unscented, lathers nicely and yet only a small amount is needed for cleansing! I've added this to my growing list of LaRoche-Posay items that I use.

I have very bumpy skin. It’s like white heads and blackheads beneath the skin. I decided to give this a try because it has 2% salicylic acid and wanted to see if it would work for me. I’ve been using it for the past month and I haven’t noticed much of a change other than my skin feels very clean and I haven’t broken out since using it. I know skincare products takes a lot of time and consistency so I might have to give it much more time to get a true opinion of it. One thing I have noticed is that it really dehydrates my skin, makes it sensitive to other skincare products, and irritates the mouth and nose area a little bit (I think it’s because of the scent). I like to pair this with the Nivea crème to help with the mosturization. I’ll need to update this review in a few months to see if it does work.
