Stay ‘n’ Place adhesive rug tabs help keep carpets, rugs and floor mats from slipping, bunching and moving out of place. Designed for quick applications, this tape features an easy-to-remove liner and can be repositioned multiple times if kept clean. Q: If I need to wash the rug, can I remove the tabs and reuse them or will I need to buy a new pack?

A: You’ll need to buy a new pack if you remove them. Think about it like putting tape on your tshirt. It sticks pretty well the first time, after that the adhesive is tainted with fiber/dirt and won’t stick as well. I ended up buying a few to keep in my cleaning supplies.

A: We have tested this rug pad on all Mohawk flooring types and have not had any adverse reactions to date. If your flooring is from another manufacturer, we recommend checking with them if there are any specific things they advise against. This product is made of cellulose coated polyester with acrylic coating.

Q: I have luxury vinyl plank flooring & am concerned about them leaving a mark on my floor. Is the adhesive material made of silicone, polyethylene resin, or something else?

A: We do not recommend washing the rug with the adhesive tabs on. The tabs will likely be destroyed during any washing process and will come apart in pieces.

A: Hello! The 4"x4" Stay 'n' Place Adhesive Rug Tabs is best for use with smaller area and accent rugs. Not recommended for use on rubber, leather or metal surface.

Q: I have a hardwood floor. I’m concerned that there will be a permanent mark on the floor if the product comes up. If a mark shows on the floor, how can one clean the mark off?

A: Hello! The tabs will not mark your hard surface floor. Any sticky residue left after the tabs are removed, can be cleaned with a mild soap and warm water. Thank you!

Q: I have small area rugs on the hardwood floor of my home--traffic areas like entranceways and kitchen. I pick them up to clean under them every week or so. Will this tape come up easily? Would I need to reapply each time after cleaning?

A: Hello Jill! Unfortunately, you would need to reapply the tape after pulling the rug up a couple of times, as it will lose its stickiness. Please note that oil based cleaners on the floor can affect the adhesive properties of the tape as well, as should not be used in an area where the tape will be placed. This is just double sided tape for a rug. One use and then once stocked stick is gone or you wash rug, you have to buy another set

The center of the sticker held well, but the edge started peeling up pretty soon after I applied it. It was a high traffic foot area, but nothing harsher than walking (no moving furniture or anything). It came up easy and left no damage or reside to the floor. It could’ve held better.

I’m not sure why they didn’t work for some people in the reviews, but they worked for me! I use them for my living room rugs, as well as my bath mat. Everything is still in place months later. Don’t listen to the negative reviews and give it a try.
