Organize, sort and contain! The Room Essentials 56 Quart Storage Box is ideal for a variety of basic and lightweight household storage needs, helping to keep your living spaces neat. The clear base allows contents to be easily identified at a glance, while the opaque lid snaps firmly onto the base to keep contents contained and secure. Stack same size containers on top of each other for efficient use of vertical storage space. When storing items away, use good judgment and don’t overload them or stack them too high; be mindful of the weight in each box and place the heaviest box on the bottom. This storage box is ideal for sorting and storing blankets, towels, seasonal clothing, and games. The 28 Qt, 56 Qt and 70 Qt Storage Boxes use the same lid allowing shallow and deep sizes to be stacked in the same footprint. A: Hello vinyl, the Room Essentials 56 Qt Storage Box is made of polypropylene and designed for general household storage. Most household storage purposes do not require suggested weight limitations. This product has not been specifically tested for various weight potential, and we suggest consumers use good judgment and not overload them or stack more than three high. This could cause distortion or eventual damage.

I was excited to buy these on sale for my Christmas decor, however, I had to return them. These containers are VERY brittle. One drop and it's cracked or breaking apart. If you're using for something simple like light blankets or linens, you may be okay with this item, although I would not recommend though for heavy storage.

I ordered 4 bins online and picked up at store. So they were stacked together. I should have inspected at store because one in the middle was severely damaged. The damage was not visible while they 4 were stacked together. These were a good price and I believe sufficient for storing kids clothes on a shelf but they are lightweight and cannot handle much stress. I would not stack them with heavy items. The store gave me credit online. It wasn't worth trying to exchange for another bin at the store right after Christmas.
