I am obese with poor eyesight. The base on this scale was small for me and you must set the scale with a toe, meaning you need to be able to balance on a small square and see small numbers from a distance. In addition, although it says the display is large, I was unable to read it and I am 5'9" tall. Tried to set it on the counter and put a bag of flour on it to set it and it would not work. Ended up returning it because was unable to use it. Bought an analog scale with a big circular display and a large digital display that I am able to use.
