A: Yes, actually on the 10.5" model, it is actually a much better experience. The 10.5 has a much better screen and more power under the hood giving the Pencil a more fluid-like experience

A: Unfortunately it does not, but it is hard plastic and removable. It's literally like writing with a pencil.

Note that Target are selling the older version of this pencil. Apple updated the 1st gen to include an addition USB-C adapter for use on the 10th gen iPads. Target are selling the one without for the same price so you are better off buying it directly from Apple.

As a teacher, I definitely had to go for the pen once I had an iPad. I love using it with the Drawboard app, as well as many others. It feels like a normal pen in my hand as far as size. It is a bit on the heavy side, but I actually prefer that. The only thing that I do not like is charging it straight out of the iPad. I use the little extension bit that fits on the end of the pen and attaches to the cord.
