Q: Is there a way to disable the beeping? This kettle beeps so much, it's infuriating!

Q: If I remove the plastic filter and keep the lid open while pouring, will my water come into contact with anything other than glass? (I.e. sealants or welding materials) Is the bottom of te carafe glass like the sides or metal?

The spout of the unit is all glass, however the water does come in contact with the stainless steel base with is 304 grade stainless and may have trace amounts of nickel in it. Q: Is the bowl really glass? It does not ping like glass.

It is made of a tempered glass to withstand the the temperatures of heating. So it will have a greater strength then a glass cup. Q: The ad says and shows a blue LED light but also shows a picture of a Kettle with rainbow colors. Is there only a blue light r does each heat setting have a different color?

The color of the LED on the base will be dependent on the temperature selected when it is turned on the default of boil will be red while 120*, 160*, 175* and 195* will each have a specific color. Q: What is that little button at the base inside the kettle that shows up in some photos and not in others?

Q: Does this keep the water warm? Or does it shut off after it boils and you would have to turn it on again to reboil?
A: THank you for contacting Aroma Housewares. Yes, this kettle has Keep Warm function. A long press on the Power|Boil button will enable the Keep Warm mode. And once you lift the kettle up (away from the Power Base) while it is in the Keep Warm mode, it cancels the KW mode.

Q: What is the material under the lid made of? Plastic or stainless steel? Any plastic part inside touching the boiling water?
A: The lid is made of PP Plastic. The stainless steel plate on the very top is for decoration. It also has a plastic filter (attached to the lid) at the spout. During pouring, waater will be in contact with the plastic. But all food contact surfaces are BPS Free

Q: Does the lid stay up by itself or do I have to hold the button to hold the lid up? Does the button pop the lid up to fill water or does the lid flop onto the glass and require manually holding it up to fill?
