Blackwood for Men BioNutrient Foaming Face Wash - 4.55 fl oz

The product has a nice but not overpowering scent. Sort of a fresh, woodsy/outdoors scent that doesn't overpower. It foams a decent amount when you pump and one pump was enough for 1/2 my face. Pictures show the amount from a single pump. The soap maintains a good presence/feel even after you spend some time rubbing it around to clean, it still has a "feel" to it and doesn't just fade away. You'll definitely have to give a good rinse to remove any residue but skin feels clean and refreshed.

I'm by no means a regular face wash user, but this product here is making one. At first, getting the correct amount was questionable, and there are no instructions for the application. But with trial and error I finally perfect pump count, it's two and a half pumps with a nozzle tap. The pump does stick on occasion but infrequently enough that it doesn't lose a star. To sum it up, it's a well-made product that does exactly what it claims.

I am definitely adding this product to my daily routine. Paired with a good moisturizer after, it has my face looking and feeling clean and bright. Foams up nicely and doesn't leave a lingering residue or fragrance.

I used Blackwood For Men products before and never really noticed any significant changes (good or bad) to my skin afterwards--at least not immediately. I decided to give Blackwood BioNutrient a try see if it's a better product and rated it based on likes and dislikes (which are few). Likes: (Actually) I love that the product is made of ingredients I know and can pronounce (i.e., Green tea, coconut oil, citric acid, and Arginine (yep, that's everything that is listed!). I also like that it has a light scent and is not too overpowering. The liquid content is inside of very durable black plastic container and has a pump that feels very smooth when pressing. The pump releases the liquid content in foam form. The facial wash goes on easy and washes off easily as well. Dislikes: (Actually) I strongly dislike that the product was shipped in a large box. I initially thought that I was receiving a large shipment of the product based on the large size of the box. However, it only contained the 4.55 fl oz bottle. Also, I found that facial wash did not lather as strongly as I expected (see pic). It's difficult to know if the product will lead to any positive changes overtime as my before/after pictures did not show much of an immediate difference. Overall, I still recommend product for weekly or occassion use for a quick facial wash. I gave it 4 stars for the ingredients used. This is definitely a product I would purchase in the future.

It's a decent face wash, but easier to use my body wash instead of two seperate items. It does seem to clean my face as good as anything else I use to wash myself with. I do get faint hints of the Tea Tree scent.

Pretty good face wash. I do wish it had direction on the bottle of how much to use. Only a small amount comes out of the nozzle, but it goes a long way. 2-3 pumps is all that is needed. It leaves the face with a nice "squeak" feeling. I did end up using a face toner to ensure my skin didn't dry out, though.

Overall, I would say that this is a good face wash! It has an amazing smell, a great texture, and leaves your face feeling clean. However, it did leave my face feeling slightly dried out afterwards. For people with more oily skin, this would probably be a great choice!

Foams nicely and gives a good clean. I like the bottle. The scent is very muted and it doesn't strike me as particularly masculine. Doesn't over dry my face. Overall, it is good enough to use, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it. -- Husband

This face wash left my face feeling very nice and smooth. I’m not the biggest fan of the scent, but I have used this brand before and really like it. The scent is citrusy but also smoky. It is difficult to describe. Before buying for yourself or someone else, I would go and smell it because the scent isn’t for everyone. It has a nice foam and feels nice on my face.

I have sensitive skin and this face wash has been good. I like the foam application as ot seems to be less harsh than concentrated face washes. The pump application is easy to use and probably prevents a lot of waste. The face wash smells good and doesn't excessively dry my face out. I've been using it about a two weeks and have not had any break outs on my face so far.

I'll admit, I was skeptical. For the past 10 years or so, I have used Kiehl's products to cleanse my face. It seems that every time I run out and have to replace something I liked, they change the formula and it ends up fundamentally different than what I liked about it. I attribute that to an attempt at cost-saving (though turning off one's customers seems like a funny way to increase profits), but that mentality has always made me wary of facial products that didn't cost half my paycheck. This face wash has completely changed my opinion of products on the lower end of the price scale. The product itself is unscented, which I appreciate, and it smells a bit like basic soap. The foam is neither greasy nor too harsh, and my face feel great after using it. One thing that might seem unimportant but makes me happy is the pump. Many products I have used shoot out way too much for a single use, probably to make consumers run out more quickly. This pump squirts out the perfect amount of foam to wash my face.

Blackwood Bionutrient Foaming Face Wash does a good job of keeping my face clean without drying it out. Honestly, I have no idea what the "bionutrient" refers to, but it does seem to work. I have to use about three pumps to get good coverage on my face. Despite being a small size, it does tend to last a while. It is a soft, luxurious feeling foam. It has a pleasant scent, but it is not overpowering.

I was not a fan of the Blackwood for Men BioNutrient Foaming Face Wash. My first impression was that it looks like a premium product - it comes in a sturdy, modern black container. But upon first use I was blown away by the overwhelmingly terrible smell. It honestly made me think of vomit and I had to limit my inhaling while cleaning my face. I thought the pump didn't give enough foam with one pump so used two and found it to leave my face dried out and skin tight when rinsing off (which is surprising since it says it has "hyaluronic acid to moisturize and protect"). I have "normal" skin but would worry that this may dry out sensitive faces, which is again surprising given the marketing for sensitive, oily or dry skin. I've continued to use for a few days now and still find the smell to be awful. Premium looking product, but not for me.

This review is for the Blackwood for Men BioNutrient Foaming Face Wash. This was the first face wash that I’ve used with a foaming function. It really made things easier when washing my face. With normal face wash delivery methods, it takes a bit to work the product throughout your face, the foaming action really seems to help alleviate that. The scent of the face wash is also great because it isn’t overpowering. I feel like I’m not getting overwhelmed when using the product with a scent which I prefer. Overall, I really enjoyed the Blackwood for Men BioNutrient Foaming Face Wash and I would definitely recommend to a friend.

This cleaner has a pleasant smell that isn’t too strong. It lathers really well and makes my face feel clean. It takes two pumps to clean my face thoroughly. It come in packaging that is definitely gift worthy!

This facial wash has a nice scent. Fancy Good packaging. Foaming action. Leaves skin feeling clean and fresh. Not oily or greasy. Alittle goes a long way. I would purchase again. Great addition to your daily routine.

Very good facial wash. It lathers up thick and covers the entire face. My skin has stayed soft and hasn't dried out like other facial washes have done. It has a clean masculine scent also which I like. I recommend this product and will continue using it.

I love that it’s a foaming wash. I’ve never owned my own personal face wash so this is cool. The scent is very earthy and not so strong. It made my face feel refreshed and clean. I’m looking forward to trying other products from this line. I really wanted the face wash because I get blackheads on my nose and after washing it with the face wash and using a face scrubbing tool on my nose, I can’t see the blackheads anymore so it really did clean my face. I like it. I would definitely get it again.

Overall Blackwood for Men BioNutrient Foaming Face Wash - 4.55 fl oz is okay for what it is. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but also not horrible. It is in my opinion a little underwhelming when it comes to the scent and cleansing action. There is an extremely faint almost nonexistent scent of citrus in it. What really turned me off from the scent is the artificial synthetic smell you get when you apply it to your face. I am not sure if it is the arginine or the mixture of all the ingredients, but it is prominent. With respect to the effectiveness long term, I cannot tell yet, but it does seem to clean my face like other off the shelf face washes. My face does feel clean afterwords, but again having a slightly stronger or even a masculine scent would be nice to give the user at least a "clean" feeling after using it. It would at least feel like you cleaned your face with a "premium" product. This was ordered online, and I will say the packaging was above average and dare I say a little over the top. It came in a fairly large box for the bottle size, it was wrapped well and came with lots of packaging and a solid feeling box. Good looking bottle design. Pump needs to produce more foam with one pump, I found myself having to use more than one pump to get the right amount out. Would I buy this again? Probably not until the aforementioned critical misses are corrected for a product that demands such a premium price in a field with many competitors at lower price points that perform better overall.

I was pleasantly surprised by this foaming face wash. One, the packaging is great and has a masculine vibe. You really only need one pump and it suds up enough for your full face and even neck. If you like a cleanser that leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean this is for you. Even if you have an oily skin type. This leaves your skin with no residue. For me, I wish it left my skin feeling a little more hydrated.
