This is an excellent, delicious grain. The texture is wonderful, and it has a very subtle, mild flavor. The basic cooking instructions worked out just about perfectly. If you have leftover cooking water, it can be used as brith in other recipes or just enjoyed on its own.
Stay away!

Horrible! Don't buy. Tried popping, problems as other reviews complained. Worst yet, tried basic cook, after an hour the 2 qts water gone, grain same size, still hard crunchy and tasted rare. A waste of water!

I am happy that BRM has sorghum! I am sensitive to all grains with the exception of this and teff. This is a great replacement for rice and reminds me a bit of pearled couscous. It has a delicious, nutty flavor and a satisfying chewiness. I highly recommend

I like this as a replacement for rice in some meals. Way more texture, so not all meals. I cook in an instant pot for faster morning cereal. But mostly, I use it in the stew I make for my dogs. Give extra nutrients and holds the flavors of the stew. They love it!
Hearty, healthy, and easy to prepare

This is great! It's very filling (in a good way), so that I don't feel hungry for a while after. Very high in insoluble fiber = great for the digestion. I prepare it in a pressure cooker to save time, 1 c. sorghum to 3 c. water. It takes about an hour until all the water gets absorbed.
Better for you than popped corn

Good product at competitive price. These sorghum seeds are for my bird. I'm not going to lie to you, I can't afford to eat them myself.

Considering sorghum hasn’t quite reached the mainstream yet, it’s not easy to find. Thank you, Swanson Vitamins. The grain is quite delicious and satisfies the craving for carbs, chewy savory goodness as a popcorn snack, pilaf, or add a little cooked grain to top salads for a nutty and Lectin-free enjoyment. I soak 1-2 days and still cook 1:4 sorghum to water. Very nutritious and reminds me of wheat berries but it’s gluten free!

I use this product to help boost my brown rice flour sourdough starter. I mill into flour and it works great for this purpose. With it as a booster, the starter becomes active within 1 - 2 hours as opposed to 4 hours if I use brown rice flour alone. If you're having problems with your gluten free sourdough starter, try it.

As a family with celiac, we love sorghum.I sprout, dehydrate and make fresh flour out of it for gluten free dinner rolls, bread and naan. I was told by friends that the taste is almost identical to whole wheat. I will keep on ordering.
