Again, because of manufacturing these products adjacent to one another, we cannot recommend these products. I must be one of the folks whose skin reacts badly to this because it seems to make my lips worse, instead of better. After using at I have to apply a different brand of lip balm all through the next day because my lips feel sunburnt. Tried it multiple times to make sure it wasn’t something else, and because for $8 I was going to be positive before chucking it.

Nice scent and leaves my lips soft in the morning and I don’t need as much lip balm during the day. Very greasy texture that some might dislike. A little goes a long way, so the pot lasts a long time. The packaging looks more high end than Burt’s Bees usual, but I’m deducting a point because of that packaging. It could easily have been packaged with more sustainable materials, such as aluminum or even a recycled paper jar. Perhaps the container is made with 100% recycled plastic but I doubt it. Burt’s Bees uses plant-based plastic in some of its packaging, but pretending that’s any better than virgin plastic is greenwashing BS. I specifically buy Burt’s Bees almond milk hand cream because it’s packaged in glass with an aluminum lid (it also smells amazing). Burt’s Bees can and should do better.

I have extremely dry lips due to taking glycopyrrolate. I have been using this since Feb 2024, and my lips have been cracking and bleeding every day. This weekend I used my sister's Carmex on a whim. Carmex works so much better. This stuff dries up quickly, it's gone in the morning. Carmex is still there next morning and my lips are way softer. Sometimes the basics really ARE the best.

I am 66 and don't give myself the facial care I really should. I work from home and don't wear moisturizer, etc. Lately I've had chapped places around my lips that wouldn't go away no matter how much "lip ointment" (from probably the leader in chapped lips care) I put on and around my lips. I found this product in a list of "best solutions for chapped lips." My lips weren't chapped, it's the skin around them. But this was listed as the most affordable option and I had a delivery scheduled from Walmart so I decided to see if they had it. They did. I only received the order this morning about an hour and a half ago an although this is a night treatment, I put some right on. It's likely a night treatment because it is thick. I don't usually like this type balm, but my lips and the skin around them were so painful I was desperate. My lips and mouth felt better immediately and although I've only had it on for about an hour, I feel so much better and hopeful that this will solve my problem. I highly recommend this.

I have been on the hunt for a lip balm that actually moisturizes ever since my favorite got discontinued. I had high hopes for this one, but it's a no for me. Sometimes my lips get so dry they'll have the little pieces of skin that need to be exfoliated off. With my go to balm, I put it on and 10 minutes later the skin was softend and I could just wipe my lips with a washcloth and they'd be smooth. This does not moisturize at all. I put it on and 30 minutes later I can still feel the rough skin if I rub my lips together. This may be a decent occlusive, but that's not what I need it for. I'm better off just using chapstick than this, and it's a lot cheaper.

My absolute favorite lip product ever!!! If I have dry, cracked lips, it literally helps heal it overnight or in two nights if I'm really bad. Nothing else has worked like this product. Plus, I love the subtle mint scent it comes with. I bought one for my sister and she loves it too!
