The shape is terrible. If you get any butter on the sides or base which you will, the lid becomes so slick you cannot lift with one hand. It's even tough with two hands. It needs a handle. I do NOT RECOMMEND

This is a nice butter dish, especially for the price, but I had to throw it away because whoever packaged my order didn't bother to wrap it, and it was broken when I was received it. It was literally thrown in a box and shipped.

Great design aesthetics with superb materials. That this is porcelain is a major plus, due to the fact that ceramics and other synthetic polymers used in dishware is toxic, whereas porcelain is not. Moreover, porcelain dishware has become more and more difficult to find, and when it is available, it’s usually expensive. Great job to Target and the designer on this one!

This butter dish is good quality. It is heavy and does not seem like it would break easily. It is however a little bulky, so keep that in mind if you plan on storing it in the refrigerator. You really can’t beat the price though.
