It has a horrible taste but is bland as well. I wouldn’t give it to a dog/cat. This would take so much doctoring, might as well make it from scratch.
Amazing!

This stuff is incredible. I don't understand the reviews that say it's too salty...it was perfect for me. I used 2 jars, both rinsed out with about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of water each. Add to a crockpot with chicken, frozen veggies and thicken with a corn starch slurry. Shred chicken and serve over biscuits. I got tons of compliments on it, including from my 4 yr old who typically refuses to eat anything containing meat. I'm gonna repurchase this again and again and again!

Please bring these back in stores and not just online. This is our favorite go-to cooking sauce to create a deconstructed chicken pot pie! So good!

Everyone is saying this is too salty they have not read the clear instructions that say: add water, this is more of a concentrate, their mistake may be not saying that in the name.
I bought an expired product

First of all, I bought one of these and it was 6 months PADT expiration date. Smelled awful so I returned it and opted for the cream of chicken cambles soup… cheaper, creamier and not expired. It’s a shame because this is such a great idea to have a premade sauce like this.

The sauce is very good but the directions are wrong. It says use 1 jar of water and that makes the sauce way too thin. I used half and I still think that was thin with the amount of chicken and veggies added. I also added extra veggies.

Put in crockpot with 3 chicken breasts and mixed veggies. Don't add salt. Dinner ready. Serve with pasta or biscuits. My kids liked it.

I really don't get the bad reviews. This is my go-to quick and easy meals. I cut up chicken and put in a sauce pan with a little olive oil till browned a bit. While doing that I steam mixed vegetables in the microwave. Pour the sauce. Use jar to add 1&1/4 of water. Stir in the vegetables, bring to a boil and simmer for like 15-20 mins. While it's simmering, bake some biscuits. We put the bottom of a biscuit in a bowl, scoop on some pot pie and then put the biscuit top on that. Voila!
Delicious and easy!

My husband used to love the crust less chicken pot pie frozen meals but we can never find them anymore. I used this to make something similar and he absolutely loved it.

Very quick and easy dinner. I followed the instructions and put a jar and a1/4 of water in it and let it simmer. Had to simmer longer than recommended to get the right consistency. Added a cooked bag of frozen mixed veggies and chicken. Served it in a bowl with a split biscuit on top. Will buy again. For anyone saying it’s too salty, they likely didn’t dilute it according to the instructions on the jar. Thought it had a great flavor

It was excellent. I used two pounds of skinned thighs and breast boiled with 1 quart of water, cup of celery, cup diced carrots, cup of onion, no salt, black pepper and a touch of cayenne pepper (1/4 tsp for me). Keep stock, remove chicken debone and dice. Add the jar of pot pie, frozen vegetables, (add diced potatoes too if desired.) add chicken back and simmer 20 minutes. Add water to desired thickness. Eat as is or Served over mashed potatoes or rice or biscuits. Could have browned the chicken with skins for more flavor but skimming the fat later might have been necessary.
Good if you follow the instructions!

It was good! Ended up a little too thin though. The people who are saying it is too salty are likely using it straight out of the jar- it needs to be diluted, it’s a concentrate! Used 2 chicken breasts, a bag of frozen mixed vegetables, and half a bag of frozen green beans. Served over mashed potatoes and with biscuits on the side.

Why is this so salty? The Good and Gather simmer sauces are such a great easy dinner to have on hand but this variety has over 1000mg of sodium per serving 😬 It tasted decent but I probably won’t buy this again.

Heed the reviews- even for a salt lover this is more salty than anyone ever needs. We couldn’t finish a “serving” of this over plain biscuits. So gross.
