Clorox Microfiber Spray Mop

It worked well until it didn’t. I use it a couple times a week for a small house and it only lasted 7 months before the handle broke. The brand I had last time I had one lasted about 4 years.

Residential cleaning lady here. This mop cleans wonderfully, the head/pads are standard size, and I don’t have as many issues with the bottle as a lot of people. But. ***BIG BUT APPROACHING:*** The handle is a weak azzz piece of shiznit. The whole thing. I’ve broken 3 in 6 months. I’m not exactly cut, man. Pictures attached to show the most recent break, on the actual handle. Blessedly, the trigger still works and I just hold it lower on the pole while I search for a more reliable replacement. But the last time, the entire handle and trigger assembly broke, and the time before that, the pole snapped from the base. I know I’m using it for business purposes on a near daily basis, but for comparison: •Libman spray mop lasted 10 months •Original cheapie Target spray mop lasted over a year •3 separate Rubbermaid Reveal spray mops (R.I.P. best freaking one out there) lasted a combined total of 8 years of business use. Clorox, I adore your new foam-style sponge roller mops for tile, ceramic, linoleum, and epoxy floors, but your low-moisture spray mops are absolute garbage.

If you're not supposed to use vinegar and you're not supposed to use bleach, what in the h are u supposed to use... or is the idea behind this poorly and deceitful design "Yeah, sure you can mix your own formula, but you'll end up having to buy ours since yep, you can't use vinegar or bleach so there's not really anything else that's gonna work here so yeah it's a money maker for Clorox and a money leach for consumers.." Then there's the bottle removal issue. Sheesh... took major shoulder and arm power. So ok, it's cheap and probably pretty good for short term, but this is basically junk.

It was good until it started leaking on its own less than 2 weeks :/ waste of money.

First time I used this, it worked pretty well. Second time, leaked all over. Do not waste your money. It just went into the garbage can.

Bought in June, used a couple times a month on our wood floors. In early November, it literally fell apart. The whole pole came out, the white plastic parts looked like they had cracked where they were connected. Very disappointed. Would not buy again and missed the return window by 6 weeks.

Broke after several use. Not worth the price paid.

The first time I used mop, it worked great. The second time I tried using it, the kept leaking. Disappointed!!

Was leaking after first use. Save your $ and time. Just get the o-cedar mop.

This is my second purchase and the quality of this product has gone down substantially. After a few weeks the trigger is breaking and the cleaning bottle won’t stay locked in place. I would not recommend buying this product given how quickly it is breaking.

I love the mop, but until they sell replacement bottles or check valves, it will be junk! The bottles last about 2-3 months before the check valve falls off/breaks, rendering the bottle, and therefore the mop, completely useless. The only spray mop that offers a replacement bottle is Rubbermaid. WHY CAN’T ANYONE SELL REPLACEMENT BOTTLES AND/OR BOTTLE CAPS?!

The plastic container was defective and had a pinhole leak in it before the first use. It was also very difficult to detach the container as well. Looks like I bought a lemon

Brought this home and tried to use it for the first time. The spray trigger was already broken. Poor quality. Target was great and took it back no issue.

Terrible item. Couldn’t get it apart to actually use it. A waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My biggest complaint with this product is that it was a little misleading as with most spray mops. The product comes with a spray to use when you first buy the mop it’s self, and then you buy replacement bottles of the spray cleaning product as time goes on, however, this only came with the spray mop. It did not come with any cleaning solution to use in it, which was a little frustrating, because I was expecting it to come with it, so I didn’t have any solution on hand, and I also think that it should suggest a specific cleaning solution to use and good marketing technique would be to give the consumer the first bottle for free as part of the initial purchase of the mop itself, so that the consumer can start using the solution and begin to like it, and therefore they will go out and buy it again so in my opinion, it was kind of a missed opportunity to sell more product. It’s also a little annoying because there doesn’t seem to be a specific bottle that fits into the mop you have to do fill up the container part with solution you are self and while it isn’t a huge deal, in today’s world everything is very fast paced, and these spray mop products are supposed to be time saving and make your life easier than using a real mop so it’s another missed opportunity that they didn’t make it as easy to use as possible with that said the microfiber piece it’s self in the piece where the microfiber cloth goes onto is quite large. It is a little more than 16 inches long so almost a foot and a half long, which is much bigger than the competitor (being swiffer). It is 6 and a half inches wide, so the area of the cleaning microfiber is quite large, and therefore it is easier and faster to clean an area than it would be while using a competitors product. When using the competitor, I constantly found myself having to change the wipe piece because the wipes were quite small and even if your floors weren’t filthy, they would get dirty quite quickly again I think this is due to the size of the wipes and the size of the mop itself. The swivel feature of the mop is excellent and it swivels just about 360°, which the competition is missing out on this feature so you have to keep moving them up at all different angles to get all the little nooks and crannies but with this mop, it is a breeze, I also really like the fact that there is a little hook at the top so you can easily store it off the ground which saves a lot of space my biggest complaint like I said is that it didn’t come with any cleaning solution and the piece where are the solution goes into is quite flimsy, and it’s actually quite difficult to remove and put back on. In fact, if you Google Clorox spray mop the phrase, Clorox spray mop how to remove bottle auto populates as the first suggestion. I had to Google to figure it out the first time and even so the answers on Google are pretty much telling you to put your feet on the mop head and pull up on the bottom as hard as you can, and try twisting it around a little bit. There’s basically no real direction or easy way to get it off, it’s rather haphazard and seems like a big design flaw! I read on Google multiple people mentioning trying to take the bottle off and getting sprayed with the liquid solution and going everywhere which is kind of ironic since this product is supposed to help you clean up not create a bigger mess so that’s definitely a huge piece to consider I actually haven’t used it with solution as I feel it’s too difficult and not worth it. I would rather spray solution on the floor directly and then use the product to mop up, said solution so all in all the microfiber mop piece is a large and has excellent swivel ability, and is much better than the competitor, but when it comes to the spray bottle and solution not being included, the competition wins in that category if you don’t mind struggling a bit to open the spray bottle or if you can quickly get the hang of it, or like me, don’t mind spraying a solution manually I would definitely recommend this product. The price seems a lot lower than competition mops but again, I would rather pay a little bit more to be able to have a cleaning solution. It is nice that it comes with a microfiber cloth that you can machine wash a few times before replacing, rather than having to buy the expenses pads that other products use and go through so quickly. (I haven’t machine washed the microfiber cloth, but I am assuming I can do so, by the way, and if not, the microfiber cloths last a lot longer in our a lot cheaper to replace anyway). There are a lot of pros and cons to this product so I would definitely research before buying.

The base broke when I tried taking the part that holds the water out.

Save yourself the money and attach an actual microfiber cloth to a stick. The pastic is thin and will not hold up. The handle does not collapse or adjust and is awkardly tall. The mop is not weighted and the pad leaves streaks unless you bear down with enough force to give yourself tenis elbow over time.

I should have listened to the other reviews on how this was garbage. Purchased in November 2023 and here we are the beginning of March 2024 and it’s already broke. I had purchased the Target brand years and years ago and that thing lasted me well over 4 years until it finally broke and I bought this. Never again.

My favorite part of this is the microfiber mop pad. It is reusable and washable. As long as you don't wash it with bleach or fabric softener and make sure you are using the gentle cycle. Make sure you are rinsing this mop pad out after each use. The cleaning solution i use is fabuloso and Mr. Clean both of those work wonders on my floor. I highly recommend this product because it is easy to use and has antimicrobial protection. I put in a video of me using the mop so hopefully it uploads
