These Command Clear Mini Hooks are worthless and need to be discontinued and revised. They can't hold up a feather. The adhesive just doesn't seem to do the job very well. I normally trust 3M products but I was pretty disappointed with this one.

I purchased these a few weeks ago to hang Christmas lights on my walls and they are awful. They keep falling off. I followed all the directions have use these every year but this year they just don’t wanna stick.

I bought these because I am down sizing to a one bedroom flat and I needed to hang small items but when I opened them all of the sticky parts were dry and yellow. No stick whatsoever.

Junk, junk, junk. I bought these to hang my diecast car collection on the wall. I followed the directions, and with the 205 cars I have displayed almost 30 have fallen off the wall. I had to buy automotive double sided tape to stick the cars to the wall every morning when I get up first thing I do is check the floor for fallen cars. Same thing when I get back from work.

Purchased from Target Dec 2023. Followed instructions to hang lights in room. 1. about 1/4 of them would fall off throughout the month while the lights were up 2. 3 months later i'm taking them off and the paint and sheetrock is coming off. Will not buy again. Have to repair and repaint the wall. I question if anyone really uses this product, as it would rip their walls up.

Great hooks but adhesive turned yellow,won't stick

Love these hooks for small things, however after 1 year the adhesive turned yellow, crumbled and won’t stick anymore. So now I’m stuck with all these hooks and no glue strips to use them. Very disappointing.

I bought these 6 years ago to hang some paper decorations on the wall. They worked back then, but now I'm trying to remove them and use the extras I had from the initial purchase and not only are the strips breaking off the wall when removing them and leaving yellow marks, the extra strips have dried out and are no longer sticky or usable. I have over a dozen left that are now useless. Adding an additional star since they did hang what we needed to hang when we first bought them. I wish I could include photos or videos, but the photo/video uploader is disabled at the bottom of this review form.

I purchased these last month to hang up garland for Christmas. I have used these in the past and they have worked great. They must have changed the adhesive. The adhesive now is clear and thin and does not stick to anything. The ones in the past were a sticky white foam adhesive. I cleaned off the area first and let the adhesive stick for awhile. I hung up the garland and hooks came falling off! Ugh!

I bought these 3 days ago and used on a mirror behind fireplace. Followed exactly how to use and apply . Not only was the sticky part on the mirror not very sticky but after 4 hours abd barely touching the clear part that attaches came off in my hands. I even wore nitrile gloves to avoid any oil from skin. Old stock? I found a 5lb hook I bought 4 years ago with adhesive package, never used and stored in plastic bag in cool dark place. Same thing. Adhesive didn't work. And yes, service of mirror cleaned with alcohol and dry.

Lost adhesive quality before use

I went to use a second hook from this package, and found that ALL the adhesive is no longer sticky AT ALL. The strips are dried out and yellowed. This made me very sad because it meant I couldn't do the project I was about to do for my son's birthday. It also made me think that perhaps the first hook I installed fell off not long after I put it up NOT because it was installed in a shower bathroom... but because in fact the adhesive simply was not formulated to last. This package is NOT old at all.

I bought these for a college dorm to hand stuff up, I ended up using only one of these as I had other command strips that I found to be more useful for the things I needed to hang. I used one and decided to take it down however it ripped paint off the wall. I pulled it off just as I would any command product however unlike the others this one ripped the paint. As mentioned I used it in a dorm room meaning I’m going to be fined who knows how much because of this. I wouldn’t recommend this specific command product and now I’m going to have to pay a minimum of 30 dollars.

The adhesive on the strips is defective. It has no "stickiness". The strip just slides right off. I can't use any of them.

I bought these in the beginning of December thinking they compared to the mini white hooks. They absolutely do not. The mini white hooks I put up no problem at all, they're still holding my lights I out up 2 weeks prior to the clear ones I bought. I bought the 18/24 pack and by the time I hung up the 2nd clip, the first one fell. I then went through and prepped the spots I was going to put them. That didn't help either. In less then 2 weeks they have all fallen down and I learned my lesson not to buy the clear strips because they are NOT the same.

The adhesive formula is the same but due to the thinner profile of the Clear Strips, they will work best on flat smooth surface that are painted and do not recommend using on textured surfaces. I bought these recently to use in my home. When I tried to apply the strip to the wall there was no adhesive on the strip. All of the strips I tried were the same way. I was not at all happy with this product. Usually Command Strips are my go to for hanging things in my house.

I have a pack of 18 clear hooks with 24 small strips (17006CLR-VP). There is no adhesive at all on either side of the strip. Product is unusable. Waste of money. Product not as described and not fit for purpose.

I bought these a while ago and I expected them to not damage my walls. I used the hooks as intended and almost everyday the thing I hung up would fall down and take my paint right off! When I would put the refill on the back and try again the hook wouldn't stick because it previously peeled the paint off to dry wall.
