I purchased a new iphone SE 3rd generation. After I got all my apps installed, I realized that the battery was compromised. It turns out that the phone was a 5 year old SE 2nd gen for which I paid the full price for a new phone. I tried to get them to charge me for the cost of an old 2nd gen phone, but this was not possible. What a pain! Moral of the story: don't by a phone from Target!

Affordable & easy to use. Purchased at one store, had to go to another store to activate. In activation, there was an error with email. Emails received prior to activation were in email. The next day I discovered emails received after activation did not go to email. Email was working fine on my iPad, but not on new phone. Could not get answer in Electronics, went to the Apple Store. Apple Tech did the correction in a few minutes.

Consumer Cellular is not the company to go with. They change their terms of service frequently, and will make it a pain to unblock your phone if you want to go with another carrier. Also, you have to have 6 months of service with Consumer Cellular before they will allow you to switch your service to another carrier.

Description missing that this product doesn't have an E sim card. Have to drive to a store to have it installed. If you buy the phone directly through consumer cellular the phone has an E sim card and you can do the install yourself.

Hello! That is correct we don't us eSIM to activate this model of iPhone. Our call centers have already transitioned to using eSIM to activate the iPhone SE. Our devices sold in Target will transition to eSIM in the near future. We'll note when the device is an eSIM device until that becomes the standard. Until then our device will come with a physical SIM card. The devices with a physical SIM card can be activated at home by calling us, online, or at many Target locations.
