Be a fashion designer and sew your own stylish fashions and accessories with the Cool Maker Stitch ‘N Style Fashion Studio! Cut out the templates from the fabric and stitch and style six super cute accessories: a sunglasses case, belt bag, scrunchie, headband, purse and a plushie! Goes through batteries quickly

This thing sucks up batteries like a dog in hot weather lapping up water. We have gone through 20 batteries in 3 days. I like the idea of it and it wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t go through batteries so quickly, but the cost of the batteries just isn’t worth it.

Doesn’t work well. There is definitely a learning curve to figuring it out, but because it comes pre-threaded for specific projects it’s kind of a one and done toy. My daughter really liked the idea of trying so sew, but each item did not come out well and just ended up in the garbage.

It's a great activity to do with you and your child. However, they only give you one piece of cloth. Most people don't have cloth in their house that they can use to make something out of. That's my only problem they should give you a couple of pieces of cloth because after you make one thing you put the toy away otherwise, no problems Very inexpensive but purchasing that song machine made me a little upset because I thought you were gonna get a lot more cloth and showing material which you did not get what you pay for

You can't find replacement cartridges. This machine does not use regular bobbins and threading where you can pick your own colors and fabrics for different projects. Save your money and teach your young person how to hand sew different children's projects until they are old enough to start sewing on a "real" machine. Learning various hand stitches is more important and will give your child more independence than this "toy" that requires constant supervision that doesn't sew well at all.

It is waaaay smaller than pictured on the box with a tween. It is literally half the size! 🙄 Good thing it was on sale. Got it for our 9yo but the 6yo is loving it but needs our help, which is annoying.

I really like the idea of this machine, but the instructions weren't easy enough for my 7 year old to follow by herself. We definitely had to do the projects together. We found it challenging to put the fabric into the machine, because you have to hold the presser foot up, while trying to line up the fabric. Plus the unit that contains the needle is kinda big, so you're kind of just guessing if it's lined up. My daughter (who is a bit of a perfectionist) complained that it sews too fast and it was hard to go around the curves in some of the patterns. She also didn't like that you can't trim the strings too short or the stitches will come unravelled. We ended up going over a lot of the stitching on my sewing machine.

My expectations were low, because this is an all-plastic cheap sewing machine. But it doesn't work AT ALL. Doesn't sew fabric, doesn't turn on half the time, can't even do a basic straight stitch. I should have stuck with my instincts to get my kiddo a real sewing machine.

I’m an engineer and have been sewing for years with a (real) sewing machine. I bought this for my 6 year old, who has been hand-sewing for a few months. It’s a piece of junk. The “bobbin” cartridge does not work. I spent an hour googling and trying to fix it and I can’t. Very disappointing.

My 6 year old loves this! It worked great for us but we watched the instruction videos first which was key. They have videos that explain how to make each of the items. Make sure to use the thread cutter at the base to cut your thread, if you don’t it will just unravel. And you have to cut the thread before you lift the needle. That was probably the biggest learning curve for us but after that we had it down. She’s made 4 crafts and we’re still on the first thread cartridge, and that’s including several mess ups in the beginning. The machine comes with one cartridge and the refill pack comes with two. I do wish you could buy just the thread cartridges instead of a whole refill pack but so far they’re lasting pretty long and should get us through all of the included designs just fine.
