Maybe mine was a dud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love the Cuisinart Espresso Bar Espresso Machine, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Maybe I got a dud, but despite my best efforts, the machine simply did not work properly. I was able to get it started, and it did heat up, but none of the buttons responded. You could hear it trying to warm up to push hot water through, but nothing actually happened. The one function that did work was the frother, but that’s not enough to make this a functional espresso machine. For context, I’ve used several espresso machines before, from the Jura superautomatic to the Breville semiautomatic, so I’m confident that user error wasn’t the issue. This was just a faulty machine. If I had a working unit, maybe I’d have a different opinion, but based on my experience, I can’t recommend this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cuisinart's Espresso Bar Espresso Machine is a wonderful addition to the kitchen. We drink coffee in the morning and throughout the day. I enjoy lattes and my husband favors straight espresso (quads) - both easy to make. This machine is simple to use, and more importantly, easy to clean. I found the machine's volume reasonable. I have a silicone mat between the counter and the machine. I love the cup warmer feature on top. I received this product compliments of Home Tester Club in exchange for my honest review. I have not had an expresso bar like this before; I've been using a machine with small capsules. This espresso machine from Cuisinart feels well made and solid. I expect it will last and work well for many years. I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes in the user's manual. They sound delicious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best espresso machine. It’s so easy to use and looks so stylish in my kitchen. Love that it’s so compact but still powerful. It has a cold extraction process that makes cold drinks as well, no time to wait. Also a frothing wand. Saving you time and money being able to make the coffee beverage of your dreams in the comfort of your own home. So many options and drink possibilities.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've made only 4 drinks with it so far but I already love it. It isn't super wide so it doesn't take up much counter space like our old one, so the kitchen looks less cluttered, which makes me happy. It heats up fast- probably only wait 15 seconds before the machines are ready to go after turning it on. I like that there are two ways to add water. I prefer to add water from the top, while my husband prefers taking the tank out and adding it that way. The milk frother makes good, full bodied foam like a coffee shop which adds a lot to my favorite drink- cappuccino. And it's got stainless detailing, which matches my other appliances. Overall, it's a win.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I’m the type of person who loves all types of gourmet espresso drinks, from hot to cold. I’ve just never found an appliance that could offer me both and work effectively.. until now! This is the first machine that I have actually had to read the manual to figure out how to work. But after reading it thoroughly, I can make a drink easily!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look: sleek and fits in perfectly with kitchen decor Usage: Very easy to understand for the beginner barista (though recommend reading the user manual to learn how to program the machine to tailor to your own taste!) Pros (compared with the Breville Barista machine): - Easy to understand controls - Water supply located in front so that it's easy to see low water - Slimmer - Fits taller cups Cons (compared with the Breville Barista machine): - No grinder (but this can be an advantage if you want to buy a separate grinder to your liking!) - Entire machine rotates when you insert the portafilter into place due to lightweight design - Brewing may cause splatter if using a shorter cup Overall: Highly recommended for beginner expresso lovers! Happy brewing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved this product. I had an espresso machine already from a name brand but it was really tedious to use it. This cuisinart just amazed me. The packaging was a little tedious but not a deal breaker. It is so easy to use, love the compact look. So far have been using for espresso everyday! The only thing that I would have liked it is the coffee grinder, that would have been perfect. Since I already had one it was fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I were thrilled to try out the Cuisinart Espresso Bar. This machine made us feel like baristas without tons of work. It was super easy to prepare espresso shots, and hot and cold lattes. Using the milk steamer was tricky at first, but the instructions could have been more clear. I love that this has a water reservoir on it. Super convenient and easy to remove and fill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow I am so impressed with this machine. You can tell from the moment you take it out of the box that it is high quality. We already have several coffee and espresso machines at home but this one reigns supreme! First, I love that it makes high quality espresso. This machine has a much higher pressure when making espresso than most other machines which leads to higher quality and smoother results! Secondly I absolutely love that I can make both iced and warm drinks. I live somewhere that experiences all seasons and having a cold coffee in the morning during summer is so nice. Overall I would give this a 10/10. It may be a bit more manual than some other espresso and late machines but it is worth it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Cuisineart Espresso Bar Espresso machine Friday and tested it over the last couple of days. Compared to my original DeLonghi Espresso I enjoy the easy buttons such as the ability to have cold press, a single shot, and double shot. I also like that it has the accessories such as the metal foam cup, and the drawer that holds the extra bottomless porta filters. The ability to fill water at the top is also an awesome feature as my previous machine I had to remove a water reservoir to be able to refill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy to receive this product. I am a coffee and espresso lover so I tried it right away. It is great: the steam makes the milk very hot and the espresso tastes great. You can choose whether you want it cold, double shot or single shot. Only thing I couldn’t figure out or still experimenting is making foam in the milk. But so far I love it and it has exceeded my expectations!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always been a huge cofffee lover since I was young. I’ve had every type of coffee maker you can think of… bunn, ninja, and even keurig. While they have all been good machines, the Cuisinart Espresso Bar Espresso Machine has been an absolute game changer. The coffee tastes professionally made, it’s smooth and the steamer on the side is an extra bonus! The only thing I feel was lacking was better instructions on how to use it. A QR code with videos would have made it even better. But once you get used to making it, wow you will be impressed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always found espresso machines intimidating. Cuisinart has nailed it with this baby! Super simple to use and it truly makes the yummiest custom coffees! I love that you can make a single or double shot. I love that you can make a concoction of milk/creamer/sweetness and steam it up to frothy goodness! Super impressed! 11/10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love coffee, and espresso beverages. I was excited to receive the Cuisinart Espresso Bar Espresso machine, and it was quite impressive. The packaging was a nice touch, and Cuisinart was nifty in how they designed it. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, and the images in the manual were helpful. The machine was larger than I expected it to be, but not too large that it takes up a bunch of counter space. It looks nice with the stainless steel and simple control panel at the top. Some things I liked - they created a nook behind the drip tray where you can store your filters and scoops. I also like how easy it is to fill with water with the reservoir being at the top of the machine. There aren’t too many buttons in the machine, so it’s quite foolproof. The espresso drinks I made tasted good and smooth - maybe not restaurant quality, but fairly close. I noticed there wasn’t much crema, which was a little upsetting. Overall, it’s a good machine with no grinder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up and use espresso machine. Pros: Easy to use, doesn't take up too much counter space, frothing wand works fantastic(but there's definitely a learning curve to that), Easy to fill water tank Cons: Normal coffee cup doesn't fit on small shelf but also too far away when on the normal base, espresso shoots out the side and gets everywhere. Also wish the cord was longer
