Q: How often do you have to use it
A: Descaling regularly removes mineral build up that can affect taste and quality, ensuring your coffee maker brews a perfect cup, every time. Depending on the mineral content of your water, calcium deposits or scale may build up in your brewer. Scale is non-toxic but if left unattended can hinder brewer performance. Regularly descaling your brewer every 3 months helps maintain the heating element, and other internal parts that come in contact with water. Please feel free to visit the support page on our website for helpful tips and videos on how to descale your brewer properly. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to call our Consumer Care at 866-901-2739, we will be more than happy to help.

Q: Is there another method of cleaning the machine besides using this descaling product? I’m leary now about getting this stuff because I have read the numerous reviews that the machine broke after using the descaling product.
A: Thanks for your question! Descaling regularly removes mineral build up that can affect taste and quality, ensuring your Keurig® brewer brews a perfect cup, every time. Depending on the mineral content of your water, calcium deposits or scale may build up in your brewer. Scale is non-toxic but if left unattended can hinder brewer performance. Regularly descaling your brewer every 3-6 months helps maintain the heating element, and other internal parts that come in contact with water. Calcium deposits may build up faster, making it necessary to descale more often.
