Q: Is there another method of cleaning the machine besides using this descaling product? I’m leary now about getting this stuff because I have read the numerous reviews that the machine broke after using the descaling product.

Regularly descaling your brewer every 3-6 months helps maintain the heating element, and other internal parts that come in contact with water. Calcium deposits may build up faster, making it necessary to descale more often.

This is about as straightforward as it gets when it comes to cleaning. I will buy this again in three months or so when I need to do another descale. The instructions are clear and concise. Follow them and there will be no problems. I definitely noticed a difference!
