Why Would I Choose Anything Else

When my 45 year old, much used Cuisinart DLC 7E bit the dust, I began researching replacements. I know a lot can change in 45 years, but strong recommendations from ATK and other sources I trust sealed the deal for me on this machine. I love it. It’s quiet, easy to clean and use, and does a great job doing all the chores one expects it to do. I’m very happy with my purchase. My only small regret is that I couldn’t get a white version without the silver trim.

Remember, the idea is fast and consistent results. So, when you hit the button and you have sliced, chopped, shredded, or whatever you're doing really really fast. "Don't think, was it worth it?" The answer is, yes, its worth it. You're done, throw it in the dishwasher, and enjoy your friends and family.
Impressed so far!

I only used it to shred cheese so far, but it's almost worth it for that alone. I froze the block of cheddar for a few minutes, drop it in the chute, and it was perfectly shredded in like three seconds. Can't wait to use it to make salsa and soups and whatever else!

This thing is so freaking quiet! I can't believe it packs such a punch while someone can barely hear it from around the corner. It's incredible. Works like a charm and I wish I'd bought it a long time ago.

This is my second Cuisinart Food Processor, though the first one I have purchased. My first was a hand me down from my mother. After 50 years the bowl had significant cracks in it. Turns out we bought an entire new processor, and in the process learned the bowl fits the original. Now need to buy another bowl and we will have two, which will continue to receive heavy use and provide reliable service for years, maybe decades to come.
slice, dice and shred cheese easily. Easy clean up

The Cuisinart food processors are number 1 in my book. I have cooked for almost 50 years and I have always loved the Cuisinart brands. They're second to none. The Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor makes enough pasta for a family of 8. I've never had a bad batch. Thank you Cuisinart!!
The most valued appliance I own.

All my adult life I’ve never been without a Cuisinart food processor and never will be. I was given the very first model from my parents for Christmas. They gave them to my sisters also.

Cuisinart's reputation for being an amazing food processor is well deserved. I didn't want something the tons of attachments and wanted easy to use. It is quiet for a food processor, came with everything I need, and works phenomenally.
OK but needs improvement.

Works fine, but disappointed that it did not come with fine shredding disk. The disk is additional purchase, which after paying for the processor, seems a bit much and there aren't any levels for the slicing disk The instructions also need improvement.
Good Processor really works well except shredder

Works great so far, I've made potato gratin. The slicer blade really cuts the potatoes evenly and fast. However the shredder blade seems to struggle. Carrots did not shred as well as I'd seen in youtube videos. they got stuck. It may just be a faulty blade but cheese didn't really shred well either.
Some upgrades from old model, one downgrade

Upgraded from 20 year old model. Base is better—edges rather than rounded design makes it easier to get out of the cabinet. Appreciate the "safety pin" of the lid and the bowl handle are on opposite sides now—had a problem with that on the old unit, not sturdy enough and had to re-glue several times. Don't miss having a dough blade—never used it. Shredder blade seems...cheaper? Doesn't shred things like cheese nearly as well as the old one did.
10/10 recommend this unit!

I had a Cuisinart food processor more many year that finally stopped peforming as well as I would like. I research all food processors and found that returning to Cuisinart was the best choice. My new one is bigger and easy to use. Very similar to my previous so not much to learn.

Love this so much and I use it all the time. Pretty enough to keep on your counter. The slicer is my favorite. I use it for roma tomatoes, olives onions, cucumbers, peppers, carrots, celery and more. Even slices and lots of room so you can do a lot before emptying. And all of this with simple clean-up!
How did I live without it for 60 years?!?

I received the cuisinart 14cup food processor as a gift and wondered what in heavens name I would do with it. I love to cook and I love prepping food with a high quality knife in hand. Well. The first day I made banana pecan muffins and hash brown potatoes for breakfast and , pan fried rib eye steaks with mushroom, shallot, red wine sauce. Yum! And so much easier. Fast and easy to clean up. It took a short minute to figure out the setup.

Finally replaced my old Cuisinart received as a wedding present 30 years ago. The new model has improved features - no small plastic pieces snapping off. I did have to find a video to see that the cover goes on backwards (compared to the old model). This is a sturdy workhorse - waiting for the price of eggs to go down to make Basic Mayonnaise.
Complicated to put together.

Great machine, works well. Putting it together is the only bad part. I could not figure out how to get the top on and locked in. And I could not find any instructions or diagram in the box. Finally got all parts aligned and it spun. Taking it apart was a bit simpler but it always takes time to do without damaging parts. Not for the impatient cook… Also I learned from my previous model that it is not a good idea to put the parts in the dishwasher. The plastic gets cloudy and brittle with the heat.
