Q: Is the stainless steel 18/10 and is it printed on the bottom of the pan?

A: The stainless is about .6M thick. It is not printed on the bottom of the pan.

A: This is 200 series for the interior, and 18/0 for the exterior. This priduct should not rust with proper care and cleaning.

A: This pan weighs 3.35 pounds. We do offer saucepans that are a but lighter at Target, including the 8319-14 model which weighs under 1.5 pounds.

A: No. Cuisinart® MultiClad Pro Cookware has exceptionally high thermoconductivity, and even a low setting on some gas burners will overheat or even burn. We recommend using low to medium setting.

Q: First time using this pan I had a burning metal smell all over the house for hours...Did this happen to anyone else? Also after cleaning it leaves multi color spots everywhere.

A: Hi Ma423. I'm sorry to hear about the burning smell you experienced. Multicolored spots can indicate over heating the cookware or using heat without anything in the pot. That is likely the cause of the smell. The marks themselves will not affect the performance of the cookware, but can be removed with a stainless steel cleaning product like Bar Keepers Friend. A: This item does not have a glass top, the MultiClad cookware has stainless steel lids, the Chef's Classic cookware model 719-16 does however come with a glass lid.

I have several of these pots and I absolutely love them. I really love that the handle doesn’t get hot however the lid gets very hot - you have to use a dish towel lift it off the pot.
