Q: What is the specific name of the mattress that comes included with the crib?

submitted by Stacey M - 7 years ago
  • A: The mattress for this crib is sold separately. Any regular crib mattress should fit.

submitted byThe MDB Family - 4 years ago
    Brand expert
  • A: No mattress comes with the crib but any crib mattress will fit. To my knowledge cribs and mattresses are always sold separately.

submitted byMolly - 7 years ago
  • A: The crib does not come with a mattress. You have to buy that separately.

submitted byKA - 7 years ago

Q: What size mattress is needed for the bed (full or twin?) Also, does it need a box spring for the full sized bed or just the mattress?

submitted by Rugs - 5 years ago
  • A: It converts to a full size bed so a full size mattress!

submitted byAnonymous - 5 years ago
  • A: You still need a box spring or bunkie board for the mattress. You will need a full matters as well.

submitted byThe MDB Family - 4 years ago

Q: If I buy this crib and the full size conversion kit, do I still need to buy a metal bed frame to place a mattress in?

submitted by Svargasc3 - 8 years ago
  • A: You will need to purchase a bunkie board or box spring since our conversion rail is not made to be used with slats.

submitted byThe MDB Family - 4 years ago
    Brand expert
  • A: Yes.....................

submitted byOkpacaco - 7 years ago

Q: Is it white white or like an antique white?

submitted by Jessii324 - 8 years ago
  • A: The finish is white.

submitted byThe MDB Family - 8 years ago
    Brand expert
  • A: Definitely white white, not antique.

    submitted byMamaBear0718 - 7 years ago

Q: In order to use this just as a CRIB...what else do I need to purchase separately that does not come with it? Example....mattress, box springs, rails or anything?

submitted by misstdawn07 - 4 years ago
  • A: While you are using it only as a crib, all you need is a mattress. Once you'll transition into toddler bed, you will need the toddler bed conversion kit. And once for the full bed, you will need the full-size conversion kit and box spring/bunkie board.

Q: How tall can a child be and still use this crib safely?

submitted by Leah - 4 years ago
  • A: It is recommended for our cribs to stop using when child begins to climb or reaches 35 inches.

Q: What size Crib Mattress do I need ?

submitted by Bel - 5 years ago
  • A: This is a standard size crib, so any standard full size crib mattress will fit well, which typically measures about 27 inches x 52 inches. We recommend the crib mattresses under the DaVinci brand.

Q: Does this need a box spring for the bed, along with a mattress? Is it a twin or full size bed?

submitted by Rugs - 5 years ago

Defects

Crib is cute and was easy to assemble. Had to return the first crib due to a big chunk of wood being missing from the back side top rail. Quality/manufacturing defect as it was painted over. Was a pain to package back up and drop at UPS. Got the second crib and didn’t notice any defects until the very last piece installed and we again notice a chunk (smaller this time) and again painted over. Was NOT going to disassemble and return again. So, overall it’s cute but not sure it’s worth the price tag.

We got this as a gift and we love this crib. It’s adorable, fashionable, easy to assemble. The only issue we had was there was a damaged spot on the declarative pc at the top and then a little scratched part on one of the sides. We spoke with target and they are sending replacements. They were also very helpful.

Damaged and painted over in multiple areas

Arrived damaged in the most obvious areas that not only look awful, but have the potential to leave splinters and get worse. It even appears thats the company painted over the defects in an attempt to hide them. Such a disappointment for the price of this crib. Do not recommend this unfortunately.

Some damage

The crib is beautiful, or it would be had it not had about 6 scratches and gouges on it. The box showed up in perfect condition but the crib was damaged which makes me think it was put in the box that way. My daughter who I bought it for said it was to close to due date to worry about returning it. Just made me feel bad about giving her a sub par gift.

Part damaged - 6 years ago, Verified purchaser
The bed looks good but one of the screw was damaged so I have to wait that the manufacturer send me the screw from California Target didn’t really help on that matter which is deceiving knowing that it was one of my favorite store The smell of the paint is strong so need to be ordered ahead of time to be able to let the smell in the room go away Hopefully I’ll be able to finish assembling the bed with this new screw and will not have anymore issue

The crib is very nice. Have not had baby yet so don’t know how well it will hold up. Great directions and can be put together in under 20 minutes.

This crib is absolutely gorgeous! Very study and durable. Will last my daughter a good while until she decides she wants a different bed. It is made of New Zealand pine wood and super easy to assemble. It came exactly as pictured all piece perfectly white. I was and still am worried about the dip in rail and my child climbing and falling out but I see it as if there's a will there's a way. So if the kids going to fall out this one she might fall out another. The only downfall with this crib that I had was while unpacking the crib there was fiber glass covering all the crib parts. It wasn't a problem though... we took it outside and used a leaf blower to get the glass off then we wiped it down and it was good to go. Oh I also hate the price but it was too beautiful not to get!

I feel Target maybe selling 2nd quality. I feel I paid for 1st quality. The headboard top mounding is flush on one side and on the other side is about a inch over the backing just like the picture shows. This piece comes put together so ther is nothing you can do to change it. Everything was put together by the time we noticed it. So very disappointed. No quality control. Wished I had not bought this bed or dresser. Over 700.00 and I’m not happy with any of it.

toxic smell - 7 years ago, Verified purchaser
It looks great but it has some kind of paint smell and it is toxic. We bought it about November 11 and its arrived on November 17 and I put it together the same day. It's been sitting there for 2 weeks now with open window so it would evaporate smell. If I sit in that room for 10 minutes I'm having headaches. I don't understand how this even legal. Babies are super vulnerable to this kind of toxic smell. Anyway, I'm going to return this item and try to get something else with no toxic smell.

Haven't used the product yet, the baby is still on the way. But the product arrived in a timely manner, the package was in good condition when it arrived. Set up was VERY easy took my husband less than an hour. It looks really nice, and I'm excited to use it once baby comes. I thought it was good for the money.

I love the cosmetic part of this crib but it was definitely a bad purchase. My daughter's legs/knees get stocked in between the rods all the time, and the crib bumper doesn't cover all the way up. Save your baby some pain, I wish I had thought about this before choosing this crib.

my 17mo climbed and fell off from this crib even after we adjusted the height. I was hoping to use this till 2yrs old or older and then move on to the toddler rail but now it's too dangerous to leave him in this crib...
