A: All Dyson Animal 3s will have the same features as the tools are the only difference. The Origin models are store models.

A: Hello McKeon522. Dyson machines have higher levels of suction power - while this works for a majority of carpets, there are select fibers that may not be compatible. Hope this helps!

I’ve had three of these and the brush head will not stay attached. When you vacuum on carpet the lever catches carpet and pops the brush head off. Instead of fixing the problem Dyson keeps sending me replacement vacuums. I should have read the reviews of people having the same issue before purchasing. The vacuum head is also very narrow and makes you have to vacuum longer. Worst Dyson product I’ve every owned,

The vacuum is great on hard floors and very powerful . It’s too powerful to use on carpet or rugs . The vacuum gets stuck, and is a complete waste of money. Even on the lightest settings it is far too powerful.

Pros: light, compact, extension choices, pick up ok from rug and floring, light noise. Cons: Arrived with one mission part - hose will not stay intact. All parts are very fragle and breakable. Price could be less. I was looking more for high reach extansion.

I love this vacuum. I read the reviews before I purchased, which almost deterred me. The suction is better than the previous model and it is a little heavier, which made it a little more work to maneuver but a fair trade to get the cat hair, dander and dust out of my carpets.

I’ve had this vacuum for over a year now. It is the worst vacuum I’ve ever owned. The vacuum gets clogged easily and the hose is so difficult to clean. It’s very heavy and doesn’t work well on stairs. The wand doesn’t get great suction. I’ve had way cheaper vacuums that worked better than this.

I was excited to replace my old Dyson Animal that I have had for about 13 years. It still works fine, but the latch to keep it upright broke along with a few other issues, nothing major. I bought the new Dyson Ball Animal 3 and I relegated the old one to use in the basement. I have used the new one for 5 to 6 weeks now. The first issue was the difficulty pushing it. The suction is great but is too much for ease of movement. Do not buy if you have lower back issues like sciatica. I have to say it has gotten slightly easier the more I vacuum. I just finished doing the stairs and am very disappointed with the struggle. The hose is not flexible at all. It is too tight and works against you. There is no stability. I suppose you could have someone hold the vacuum in place while you vacuum. It should not take 2 people to clean the staircase. The cord length is awesome but it should start at the top (a hook or clip) for ease of use. It is great on bare floors. It works very well as far as dirt collection on carpets, however, it is extremely hard to push no matter which setting I use. I feel very bad about recommending this to my daughter who has been fighting several forms of cancer for 5 years. We are both stuck with vacuums that make us want to scream.

Where to begin... as a previous Dyson vacuum fan, this vacuum caught me off guard. the brand always seemed focused on user design, ease of use. This brick is unnecessarily heavy to lift as well as push on carpet. The user manual for assembly was REALLY poorly done. yes, it has good suction but not worth the clunky design and weight. 👎👎

This was my second Dyson. My first one lasted 10 years! This one has lasted less than one year. The suction and cleaning power is second to none. Pulled out the deepest of dirt and pet hair. The design was cumbersome and the cheap plastic was a constant source of concern, but I was willing to overlook that for the cleaning power. The real disappointment came last week when, less than a year after I bought it, the roller brush stopped working. After some internet research and repair video watching we have determined that there is a switch that has failed somewhere and will need to be replaced. There are no repair facilities in my state, nor in the surrounding states, so I now have a hunk of cheap plastic trash. So disappointing. I won't buy another one at these prices.
