A: It can pick up both but like other vacuums you must clean the roll.

A: To clean this part, you have to place the nozzle on a flat surface with the bottom facing up. Using scissors, carefully remove any string, hair, or debris that may be wrapped around the brushroll. Finally, reattach the wand to the nozzle. Then slide the pod back onto the wand until it firmly clicks into place.

I love the suction on this vacuum! It feels like it is getting everything so clean. I love the odor neutralizer too. I think this is the best vacuum I have ever owned...but, it stopped working right around the time I had it for one year. It just won't turn back on! I have no idea what happened! I paid almost $600 for it & expected it to last more than 11 months. I took it to a vacuum repair person & he said there's nothing he can do. Something about Shark not providing any parts for repairs. I love the machine. I just wish it would've lasted longer. It's way to expensive to be dying this soon.

Strong suction and comes with all the tools you really need. A tad big in size to move around, but it gets the job done! I use on area rugs, carpet, hardwood and tile floors. This vacuum also is easy to be pulled apart to clean tools and filters. This is very important to me, as I live in a home with a dog and I'm on a farm with lots of dust and dirt. I really do vacuum everyday! Just for reference, I own about 5 vacuums, but this is great for getting floors clean as it has a light and great suction.

Never got to use it. Either they forgot to pack filters or someone stole them out of the packaging in the store, or perhaps they bought it, took the filters out and returned it and did a decent job of repacking. Too bad, I scored it on sale. But after reading all the poor reviews regarding longevity or lack of it, I guess it was a sign.

Bought 1 1/2 years ago should have returned. For these reasons: 5 ft tall age 75 the hold is too stiff to pull and extend, the unit is too heavyto manuvuer around tight spots, the suction is so strong and fast I have several nicks in my cord (could not pull it away fast enought and so heavy was not easy to manuever) BUT if you are strong the suction for pet hair is great. Also to put the canister back on was not easy to do.

I bought the Shark Stratos ~1 1/2 YEARS AGO but I wished I would have returned it. For these reasons only the hose is so hard to pull and extend, the suction is so strong if you are not quick enough you get tears in your cord, it is heavier vaccuum. At age 75 these are crucial things. Its too heavy for my 5 ft statue, I have holes along the cord which I have wrapped electical tape alone (just could not get too quick enough and it sucks it in fast), the unit is harder to turn in tighter spots it is so heavy. BUT if you are younger and stronger it cleans the pet hair super. They just need to fix the hose and lighten the unit up for older ladies. I just spent more money on a lighter weight, flexible hose Navigator Light Away DLX

This vacuum is simply outstanding. High quality, little to no maintenance. The suction power is top tier. It's so powerful in fact, that it feels like it pulls itself along in thick carpet. And somehow, it doesn't try to eat the kitchen rugs on the tile. We have two small children and a large dog, lots of hardwood, and a few thick area rugs. This vacuum handles it all. It's simple to dump the chamber, with no mess. I highly recommend this product.

I have owned this vacuum since September of 2023. I have some pros & cons. My cons are it is HEAVY coming in at 17 pounds but my biggest complaint is the stinking hose. It is so stiff & not much flexibility. You can’t get far from the vacuum when using the wand without the vacuum constantly falling over. A feature I do not like. The pros are it does vacuum a lot of dust, I like all the attachments I got with my machine. The cord is a decent length. I just wish it was a bit lighter & the hose was more flexible.

The auction was incredible, but unfortunately it shut off the first time I used it. I had to return it. I wish it didn’t overheat because it worked wonderfully on my hardwood floors.

This was a replacement for my shark apex when it stopped working. Costumer support was excellent. They helped me through troubleshooting and eventually replaced it with shark stratos which I love. It works like the apex but much more better. Loving my new vacuum!

I like this Shark vacuum It has excellent suction and really gets the carpets clean with the new roller. It is a little hard to maneuver and I’m hoping it loosens up after some use. I like the way the dust cup opens to empty with the slide feature in the back. The only drawback is that the hose and wand don’t light up when disconnected from the main machine. My other Shark has that feature. Overall I’m happy with it.
