Works great once I googled how to insert the batteries. Would have been nice if there were Instructions or at the very least a diagram.

this flashlight is great for in and outside of hose for our many jobs.

Brand new, put in batteries, tried all sorts of combinations. Doesn't work.

This worked great for all of 2-3 times I used it. Then it just stopped working and there's not really any way to take it apart to see what the issue is.

Love the flashlight. Batteries go positive side down in both chambers. You can barely see this just after removing the bottom of the flashlight to insert them, but I needed my cell phone flashlight to see the diagrams because it is black on black and very very small. To change light mode, I had to figure it out. At some point, as you press the button, it will do brightest, less bright, and strobe. However, it took me several tries. This is what happened: 1. Pressed once and bright came on. Pressed again and light went off. 2. Pressed once and bright came on. Pressed again and light dimmed to less bright. Pressed again and light went off. 3. Pressed once and bright came on. Pressed again and light dimmed to less bright. Pressed again and strobe came on. Pressed again and light went off. So, I think the trick is in the timing of how quickly you press the button after the previous press. If you wait too long, I think it starts over. If you press once for bright and press again a second time soon after the first press you get the dimmer version and if you press a third time soon after the second press you get strobe. Then press the fourth time and it turns off. Trial and error will teach you, but instructions should be included in the package or give you a website to go to for a tutorial demonstration. Other than that, I love it. It is a very bright and amazing light!!! My daughter was driving a golf cart in pitch black on Bald Head Island when her headlight wouldn’t work. I drove to her in another golf cart, handed her her flashlight, and she had no problem at all seeing the road to get home with this flashlight!!! I was behind her and it lit up a huge area!!! That’s when I decided I had to have one. The flashlight was better than the golf cart headlights!!! It is a great product but takes a little patience on the front end without instructions.

I received this as a gift during a swap at Christmas three years ago. I was awe man a flashlight lol. Well this flashlight is one of the best little gifts i have received. I love that you can adjust the brightness as well as have an option for flash. I am fortunate we haven’t used the flash feature but great to know it’s an option in case of distress. Buying three more to give to my kids and sister.

The on/off switch worked about a dozen times and then promptly broke. What a piece of crap! Save your time going to the store to buy this item - just flush your money down the toilet instead. Quality so horrible it's unbelievable they sell this garbage.

I have a yard that extends about 90 ft and live in an area with a lot of wild life. This flashlight has been perfect for checking the yard for critters before I take my dog out at night.

Purchased what appears to be the perfect flashlight for my apartment for emergencies - mostly hurricanes. Used it half a dozen times during the year for odd jobs, no emergencies. Took it out to put it in a handy place for this year's season. Went to use it and nothing happened. Tried to open it to replace batteries - couldn't open anything - searched internet and found YouTube video. Still couldn't open it; asked a dozen "stronger" men; asked my maintenance man who couldn't open it with his handy wrench but took it to the shop to use the big one. Voila! A disgusting corroded mess. Bad enough I never got any use out of it, but for an Energizer product (they are a battery company, right?) to have such a short shelf life debacle. Apology welcome.

The highest brightness level is the default when it's turned on. It's actually too bright for normal use. Press the button again and it will go to a lower brightness level. Once more for a strobe effect. It takes a little getting used to for making adjustments but it's a good flashlight. Well built. Feels solid.

The switch is mul function in two weeks

I think the people who couldn't get this to work were putting the batteries in wrong. It has a weird battery load out where all the positive ends of the batteries point down toward the lamp. No real instructions on this (or anything it does) on the box. It is printed on a small diagram on the screw cap. For me, this thing delivers on its promise: it is insanely bright. Ironically, too bright. Even getting it to the lowest setting by holding down the button is still too bright. After a couple minutes of use, I was getting a headache from the blinding light. I'll probably be returning it and ordering a Nicron N7.

Bought two for each car and it is very bright. Durable feel and a really long light beam.

Great light. And to the contrary of a previously posted review the polarity is clearly marked at the top of the battery compartment.

This is just what I have been looking for! Now this flashlight puts out the Lumens! This is perfect for spotting wildlife in my backyard. My other two flashlights worked pretty well for having under 700 lumens but now that I have seen what 1300 Lumens looks like at night, I am super thrilled. I just happened to stumble across this at Target and it was on sale for $22.00. I will post my night time photos of my backyard below. Love it!

It's bright. There is no adjustment for the beam. It doesn't have markings or instructions to show you how to install the batteries.

The best and BRIGHTEST light on the market for the price. Dont believe those lumen ratings of the wannabe's. This light is the real deal. Went back and bought two more ! Incredibly bright.
