Pretty upset how fast it goes through ink. You cannot use third party ink as the printer will not accept them. I refuse to pay $55 to replace the ink when the printer only cost $ 89 save your money and buy a cannon at least you can use third party ink without a problem and the operating system is way better. Using an old cannon now for 5 years no problems.

Hello Gerrydoc, the Epson WF-2930 is designed to use only genuine Epson-brand ink cartridges. Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly. From time to time, Epson updates its firmware to ensure the printer operates as designed. Constant Issues

I should have looked at all the reviews before buying, but needed a printer asap. It takes forever to load in order to print, and after printing less than 12 pages of black ink, the ink is out and I can’t print anything else. Sluggish, rarely connects properly to WiFi, and the amount of ink to go through is a scam. Do not buy this printer.

Stopped printing after the first ink change... which came way too quickly. The machine shows that the ink levels are full and it will load up a sheet of paper but then nothing, but a blank sheet, comes out the other end. I've tried to trouble shoot any way I can see...

Can't print black if color cartridge is empty. I never print in color so I don't know how I'm constantly having to buy and replace color cartridges. Avoid all workforce printers. They are cheap to buy

If I could have given it zero stars, I would have. I had a Brother printer for years, and it finally gave out, so I decided to try an Epson printer. It goes through ink cartridges extremely quickly. It constantly tells me that I need to cancel my print jobs, and when I cancel, it still winds up printing multiple copies. I'm either always out of ink, or never able to print what I need to. Do not waste your money on this printer.

It’s astonishing that in 2024, a company of your size and reputation still thinks it’s acceptable to scam customers with such blatantly exploitative firmware practices. Your WF-2390 series printer refusing to print in black and white when a single color cartridge is out of ink is nothing short of a deliberate money-grab. This is not a technical limitation—it’s a calculated, greed-driven decision to force customers into buying overpriced color ink they don’t need. Spare me the nonsense about "printhead maintenance" or "preserving functionality." If other brands can let users print in black and white with only black ink, so can you. The only reason you don’t is because you’ve chosen to prioritize squeezing more money out of your customers over delivering a functional product. What’s even more insulting is the audacity to market these printers as efficient or reliable. There’s nothing efficient about having a printer that refuses to function just because magenta ink is low. It’s manipulative, unethical, and downright infuriating. Your practices are a slap in the face to everyone who has spent hard-earned money on your products. This is the kind of behavior that alienates loyal customers and drives them to your competitors. I hope you’re prepared for the consequences of this greed because people aren’t going to keep tolerating it. Here’s what you need to do: Release a firmware update that allows black-and-white printing without requiring color ink. Stop hiding behind weak excuses and start treating your customers with the respect they deserve. Until then, I will make it my mission to warn others about your predatory practices. I expect a response—not more excuses, not corporate jargon, but a clear explanation of how you plan to fix this. Anything less will confirm that Epson simply doesn’t care about its customers.

Hi Epson Customer, Epson printers contain a permanent print head that must be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing only black text, a small amount of color ink is used to keep air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head. bought this epson 2 years ago. worked OK until yesterday when I updated the frimware. Now none of my used to be compatible inks work. I WILL NEVER BUY AN EPSON AGAIN. I'm done. This is total BULL. Anything to make money - not from our company - NEVER AGAIN !!!

Hello Epson Customer, Epson periodically provides firmware updates to address issues of security, performance, minor bug fixes, and to ensure your printer functions as designed. Your WF-2930 was designed to work only with genuine Epson ink cartridges, therefore some updates may affect the functionality of third-party ink. Non-Epson branded or altered Epson cartridges that functioned prior to a firmware update may not continue to function. We purchased this a month ago and it’s giving us so many issues. We have probably only printed a few times and now the paper is getting jammed no matter what we do. This is horrible.
