essie All In One Base Coat and Top Coat - 3-Way Glaze - 0.46 fl oz

This does not work very well as a top coat since it cannot hold up through a night of sleep. Despite using a curing lamp, which is not even required for this, and nearly 12 hours of wear before going to bed, I woke up with nails that had imprints from my blanket on them and other smudge marks. I only applied a single coat of nail polish that was barely enough for the color to be opaque and that was the same brand, so there’s simply zero reason why this should’ve been the case.

This product doesn’t dry well. Using it as a base and top coat, that means you get a messy, sticky finish and your manicure looks terrible. Hard pass.

Awful top coat. Never dries. Leaves sheet marks when you go to sleep and messes the polish all up.

Doesn’t dry, stayed slightly sticky low shine. I won’t be buying this one again.

terrible top and base coat. literally MELTS the nail polish and makes it worse. would get any other brand but this.

I like that this is a base and top coat in one, easier to keep track of. Goes on smoothly and dries well. I do prefer the finish of the gel top coat better, and also seems to prevent chips better.

This doesn’t work well as a top coat. It doesn’t protect the polish very well and is still soft & pliable hours after application.

This all in 1 top&bottom polish is amazing! My nail polish stayed on 2 weeks!!! With only some wear on the tips but no chipping! It didn’t even peel, i took it off because one of my nails broke if not i could have gone longer than 2 weeks! I’ve only used it with essie nail polish so that might be helping it stay on longer

I have to agree with the rest of the comments. Third time trying to do my nails In the last 24 hours and they peel off in one go after using it as a top coat

Please read the reviews before buying!! Okay base coat but like the other reviews mentioned - do not use as a top coat. I made sure my polish was dry before applying but as soon as I did, the polish turned into a gel. I was able to peel it off.

I had my nails done at a salon last week- started chipping within a couple days. I did my nails at home 6 days ago and used this as a base coat and top coat and I have not had one chip yet. Definitely recommend. My nails feel extremely strong and my nailpolish has lasted extremely long.

Okay base coat, terrible top coat! It bubbles horribly and does not protect the nail polish. Several times the polish became gummy and literally just peel off. You’re probably better off buying something else

Great to strengthen nails and clear coat

Bought this despite some of the reviews, and am very disappointed that it dries just as others have said. It bubbles and dries flat, which does not help as a base coat and looks awful as a top coat. :(

I was honestly pretty disappointed with this polish. I love Essie and usually don’t have a problem with their products, but this polish doesn’t dry very well and tends to get bubbly. I tried using it multiple times to make sure I wasn’t doing too thick of coats, and I also spent hours being careful with my nails to give them time to dry, but they still got fingerprint impressions and mail marks the next day after I did basic household chores. As a top coat, I would not recommend :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy that this is an all in one product - it makes the manicure &/or color last so much longer and it’s a lot easier not having to think about which clear coat is base or which is top- or having to use so many different bottles for 1 job. I can use this all on its own or with color and it holds up nicely. It makes a huge difference from using polish alone and makes it worth the time I’m sitting down and doing the manicure myself since I know it will hold up long enough that it won’t look like a botched job within a day or two. I think it would be a great addition to a gift basket for health & beauty items for a loved ones birthday or Christmas- and it would also be good to add to a mommy basket for a self care gift to the expectant mother at a baby shower. I wish more products would combine steps to save time and money- for me it’s a win win!

I have tried several nail strengtheners over the years: LA Colors, Sinful Shine, Finger Paints, Revlon, Kiss, Pro Strong, Sally Hanson, China Glaze, even Nail Tek. Someone on social media recommend Essie, so why not try yet another one? I applied 3 coats and it lasted a whole week! I threw out all the others.

Then use two coats of it on your favorite color of nail polish. Let that dry. Then use another coat of Essie all in one for the top coat. Keeps nails looking good like you just got a manicure but did it yourself at home.
