Q: does the bronze color look more like brown or black?

A: Hi - it is a very dark bronze, so in low light conditions the base will look more black than brown. Thank you for the question.

Beautiful lamp, adds just enough lighting to our dim living room that’s easy on the eyes but bright enough I don’t need to use a flashlight. I wish the lamp shade was a tad lighter or more translucent, but an easy fix with different bulbs.
