Whether you're entertaining guests during the holidays or need a way to cool down the kid's lemonade in those scorching summer months, the Frigidaire 26-pound ice maker will make every season that much easier. Boasting a 26-pound ice making capacity, it doesn't skimp on style with a stainless-steel finish that makes it look great with any decor. Allows you to have fresh ice in seven minutes. Important: This ice maker is designed to produce ice, not store it. The unit does not keep ice frozen once it is made. To prevent melting, transfer the ice to your freezer promptly after it is produced. Built-in air outlet keeps it cool and churning out ice without overheating. Simply fill the reservoir with water and select the desired but size.

A: The ice basket is not refrigerated. Ice produced should be placed in zipper lock type bags for storage in a conventional freezer.

Q: does this unit have a self cleaning mode? how does it handle hard water? should you use filtered water or distilled water in it?

A: The unit should be periodically cleaned with a mixture of 10% white vinegar and tepid water. (Remember to flush the unit with clear water to eliminate the vinegar residue). If you are using the unit in an area with hard water, increase the frequency of cleaning. Filtered or distilled water will lengthen the interval between cleaning. The self cleaning function of icemakers merely circulates water without the refrigeration system operating.

This machine is a fire engine red not metallic red as displayed which was disappointing to me because all my appliances are a deep red or metallic red also the machine is very bulky and the tree is small and it only makes cube ice machine makes somewhat sounds as well it's pretty easy to use I guess if you just want some ice and you have a small household it works The site is not letting me post pictures on my review

As said by previous reviewers, this machine worked great at first! Now 6 months later, I keep getting "Ice Full" messages when there is no ice at all. I've tried the suggestions that came with it, but they don't work. I have unplugged it and let it sit for a day, then plugged it in again and still nothing. I am very disappointed with this, because I loved it when it was working properly.

Lots of little cubes very quickly. Free up space in your freezer. This is great for everyday or for parties. It is a bit noisy, just like your refrigerator ice maker. When you transfer the cubes to a bin in your freezer, they will clump together a bit. All in all, it's a hit!

Worked amazing for the first month or so, then it began saying the ice was full when there was nothing in it. My boyfriend was always able to fix it and get it going, but now nothing works. Returning today for sure. Tried contacting frigidaire for support but all their lines kept hanging up due to "difficulties"

This countertop icemaker works perfectly. It will turn one half gallon of water into perfect ice cubes in just a few hours. It drops a cycle of ice in about 6 minutes; as advertised. The unit is very quiet. The most noise you hear will be the bullet shaped ice cubes landing in the basket. Highly recommended !!!! Remember to unplug it when not in use.

This ice maker is awesome! The ice doesn’t take long to make! Best money spent! I have to have ice in anything I drink. Even I have a ice maker in my refrigerator. Sometimes I would have to buy a bag of ice when my ice maker on my refrigerator slows down. With this ice maker I have no problems! I loovve my ice maker! I definitely recommend!
