Description
This Frigidaire freestanding portable ice maker makes 26lbs of ice per day. Never run to the store for a bag of ice again. Convenient, compact design is ideal for use in small kitchens and other compact spaces like RV's, boats, dorm rooms and more. This portable ice maker requires no installation - just plug it in, add water, and in less than 7 minutes you can enjoy fresh ice. Holds 1.5lbs of ice in the interior basket. Important: This ice maker is designed to produce ice, not store it. The unit does not keep ice frozen once it is made. To prevent melting, transfer the ice to your freezer promptly after it is produced. Will compliment any decor. Maintain optimal performance by cleaning your ice maker weekly to prevent scale buildup, particularly in areas with hard water. Please refer to your instruction manual for details

Q: Specifications shows that this ice maker makes two sizes of ice but doesn't show what the sizes are, although it does say it makes bullet ice but what is the other size?

A: The two sizes are designated as "Large & Small" - it's strictly an arbitrary setting as the size of the ice produced is also affected by ambient temperature and water temperature. To make larger/firmer/drier ice use colder water in the water reservoir. Tip - let the first couple of batches of ice fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.

A: The ice storage area is not refrigerated. It is intended that ice be periodically transferred to zipper lock type bags for storage in a conventional freezer.

The color is very attractive and the unit barely takes up any space on our countertop. The unit makes a batch of ice every 6 or 7 minutes which comes in handy when guests come over. The guests and my kids are also fascinated watching the ice maker at work. It's also a lot faster than the ice maker in my refrigerator's freezer. Would I buy it again? Definately!

I love my Frigidaire Countertop Ice Maker in red! This machine has exceeded all of my expectations and has quickly become a must-have in my kitchen. The first thing I noticed about this ice maker is how fast and efficient it is. It produces ice incredibly quickly, which is perfect for when I'm entertaining or need ice for my drinks on a hot day. The ice is also of excellent quality, with a crystal-clear appearance that is a sign of its purity. The red finish of the ice maker is also stunning. It adds a pop of color to my kitchen and complements my other appliances perfectly. I have received so many compliments on the ice maker, and it's become a conversation piece when guests come over. Love the color, I bought this unit to replace another I had that lasted only 9months, so fingers crossed that this one lasts longer. Makes ice relatively quickly, I wouldn’t say it’s quiet, but not as noisy as my other unit. So far so good!
