The battery lasts over one week before needing charged. Tracks everything really well. I’d definitely recommend this watch!

I had watched a youtube video on how to use the watch before I received it and it was just as easy as I expected to set up and go on my first run! I had been using the apple watch till now and was always frustrated at doing distances over 10 miles or activities over 90 min because the watch would die but the forerunner 55 has fantastic battery life. It does everything most runners or cyclists would want, and besides the lack of a hiking feature or power metrics, it's great
Great all around active watch !

Love it, got it about 3 weeks ago, when my other tracker went dead. I’m an avid runner, been running for years, l thought I’ve reached my threshold plateau until I got this Forerunner with free running coach programs, so I’m starting to pace myself better. Looks like I can do better with my new running coach with Garmin! If you are a new runner and you want a Tracker, go with Garmin. It will give you a baseline running capability tracking and your VO2 max, it will also establish an Emergency personal contact in case you need help, but always listen to your body when you’re out running, it’s always better to be safe.

This Garmin 55 has the same failure as the Garmin 45; it will not count steps when walking behind a lawnmower. I never had this problem with a Fitbit
Not bad

From what I’ve done so far, I can say that the Forerunner 55’s running GPS is pretty darn good, though I run in decently open spaces. I haven’t used it much for biking but we’ll see. The main complaint is the pool swims: if you want a swim tracker, pay for one. This watch has consistently been off by 400 meters plus and is all out of wack in the pool. Otherwise, it’s perfect for a starter.
Constant need for pairing

I bought a Forerunner 55 to replace a 35 that I had for seven years. My 35 stopped reading my heart rate, measured distance incorrectly and the light quit. It had served me well so I bought what I thought would be it's replacement. The 55 I received would not stay paired with the Garmin app. I needed to pair every time I used the app to sync. It also took minutes to acquire the starting location. I called support and got a replacement. The replacement does the same thing. My 35 would go months without needing to be paired. It would also acquire the starting location in seconds not minutes. The 55 is unnecessarily complicated and the instructions for pairing are wrong. Also when pairing the app has me register the watch again.

I've owned quite a number of Garmin devices, and this was my first major disappointment. The screen is too dark, the heart rate monitor ( main reason for buying it ) worked inconsistently. The controls were clunky. I sent it back for a refund.
Great inexpensive GPS watch

This does everything I want it to at a great price. I basically wanted it for walking and bicycling and this works to perfection. I also like that it is very light.
Very Dissapointed

I received this as a gift and at first it worked fine, but now it longer connects to my iPhone and the various buttons are just too wonky. A huge dissapointment.

I bought this watch a month ago and I'm very happy with the battery and features, and it's a great value for money for the products offered by the brand. The only improvement I'd like is in relation to the brightness of the screen, which is often difficult to see even with the internal light. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied!
great watch I had been waiting for this
