Description
The GROSCHE MILANO is the best-selling series of Stovetop Espresso coffee makers. These type of coffee percolators are also called Moka pots, and are an authentic Italian style of brewing espresso coffee. These Moka pot stovetop espresso makers make a strong, rich and smooth coffee that is more dense than regular drip coffee makers, French presses, or pour over. Their cup sizing is in espresso cup sizes - not regular coffee mugs. So, a 6-cup coffee Moka pot will brew 6 espresso cups. The Milano stovetop espresso maker moka pots use fine grind coffee beans and are compatible with a variety of stove tops. The Milano stovetop espresso makers are made of led-free, food grade safe aluminum and come with a Certified Italian safety valve made in Italy to prevent internal pressure build up. The aluminium Moka pots work on gas stoves, electric stoves and camping stoves but are not for induction stoves, while the stainless-steel espresso makers, like the Milano Steel are induction compatible. We recommend hand washing for all Moka pots. They are easy to disassemble and clean, and their features include a heat-resistant soft touch handle & knob. How to make moka coffee: 1. Add water to just below the safety valve. 2. Add fine ground coffee to the coffee funnel, filling it completely. Dont tamp or compress the coffee. 3. Screw on the top chamber until its snug, ensuring the safety silicone seal is present under the top chamber. 4. Place on stove top on low to medium heat. In around 4-6 minutes your water will bubble up through the coffee and your moka expresso coffee will be in the top chamber. 5. Remove from heat and pour into your cup. Precautions and care: Moka pots should always be hand washed - the Aluminium versions will get damaged in dishwashers - Aluminium moka pots are NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. Our Milano Steel black stainless steel and brushed stainless steel moka pots can be placed in a dishwasher.

A: HI Alina,This is an aluminum stove top Espresso maker but yes Grosche does have stainless steel Espresso makers as well .If you search Milano steel on the Target website you will find the stainless steel one. I hope this helps.

Q: Can I make less than the maximum amount? For example would I be able to make only two cups of espresso in the 3 cup size pot?

A: Hi, yes you can for sure, you will just need to put lesser coffee and lesser water. It will take a few times of playing around with different amounts of the coffee and water to reach the flavour are looking for. Please let us know if you have any questions.

A: Hi, Thanks for your question. You can fill the Milano till just under the safety valve. That is the maximum amount of water that can be filled in it.

I am obsessed with this stovetop moka pot. It’s easy to use. I fill the top with hot water, add ground espresso to filter basket, screw top back on, heat gently on low stovetop and voila! Coffee brewing becomes a ritual and the coffee is great! I also love the cute milk foamer.

This is a good brand, the coffeemaker is nice. It arrived in pieces, some in the bag, some in the box. The box was torn. It's clear someone took this out, took it apart and tried to shove it back in. It LOOKS clean. Considering returning it.

The handle in this item has already broken off (6 months or less). When using it - it either had to be so tight that the top was difficult to get off or else the coffee would leak out of the sides during heating. There didn’t seem to be a good middle ground (tight enough to not leak but not too tight to interfere with taking the top off to clean/empty grounds.

Buyer beware! I ordered the 3 cups size and it only makes 1 cup. The box was labeled 3 cups but it is not! Other than the size it does make good coffee, just a very small amount. Good quality. I can't return it because I used it and the next size up is double in price.

It leaks. Quality is not as good as another of the same price range. I upgraded to a 6 cup from my 3 cup Bialetti. I bought this one because of the reviews about the silicone gasket being better than the rubber in the Bialetti. This silicone gasket leaks. I could pour from my bialetti one handed with no leaking. This one leaks from the top and bottom even while holding the lid down. Also the Bialetti that is half the side of this one, is heavier... better quality.

I got this because it’s what my grandma always uses. Even after all these years (grandma is 97) this is still the best way ever to consume espresso. It comes in all beautiful colors. It is super easy to use for coffee and even easier to clean. The espresso taste delicious and not burnt or too light. It’s perfect. I also used regular coffee beans as well as an experiment and it is equally as delicious. This is great for espresso shots, cappuccino, lattes, and so much more. I even make it, let it cool, put it in the fridge, and then enjoy delectable iced espresso. You won’t be disappointed.
