[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love trying new board games and so does my husband. We tried this game out and thought it was fun. I am not sure how often it will get played, but we may bring this to the next game night with our friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Karuba - Tile Laying Puzzle Game is a fun family oriented game that has a nice balance between playing time and fun. Set up takes a little bit and the game itself is a little bit to get used to, but after the first game or two, its only about a 20-25 minute game. I find this a great thing, as my kids sometimes don't have the greatest attention spans. The game itself is made pretty great, the pieces are sturdy and easy to use, and the directions are easy to follow. We found this to be a great addition to our family game nights!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a fun concept! We love the detail and game plot. There’s a lot going on so open when you have a couple hours to set up and play. The kids got frustrated because it was taking me a while to read through the instructions, separate all the player cards and then actually play. We had to leave the game and finish up the next day. It is a really interesting and different type of game that makes you think. I felt smarter when I played it and the younger kids played along the best they could. I would recommend for 7 and up. Younger kids will enjoy all the pieces and try to play along. Really small kids are not recommended because of choking hazards. I appreciate all the little storage bags to store the pieces and keep them organized.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up right out of the box. The rules are simple and straight forward even for my kids. There is a little bit of set up so being organized with the various piececs helps. The only (minor) complaint: the gameplay is simple enough that just by mimicking the other player's moves you can manipulate the game into a draw every time. My kids aren't very into direct competition so this game is perfect because in terms of gameplay cannot directly affect other players. Non-competitive (haha) fun for the whole family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was pretty fun once we figured it out, not that it was to hard. Draw tiles, lay tiles, and explore the path to get points until you can get your explorers to the corresponding temple. The German on the box was a bit confusing to see

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only played this once but it was very cool to be able to see the translations on all materials and play an adventure-style puzzle game. It was a little confusing to figure out at first, though I'll admit we aren't usually board game people, but I am sure after playing it for a few times it will get much easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I played this with our friends over coffee one morning and we all loved it. Definitely not meant for kids as the instructions are a bit mature. Quality of game is great and it provided a good 45 mins of fun each session. I recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking forward to playing this game on our family game night but the instructions were too difficult to comprehend. They were so many steps to remember in order to play the game accurately. When there’s too many steps or rules it takes the fun out of the game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this game a month ago and I am so glad I did. It was purchased to liven up our family game night. It was so fun. Although I will mention that it is a long game. Think length of the game that you buy and sell house- that long. We did like it! If you are on the fence - purchase it but plan to play for a while!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love games, especially ones that are not your run of the mill, roll, move, win. A game that has a little strategy and can be played over and over with a different method is a lot of fun, and this game is just that! My 8 year old likes it and has much of a chance of winning as the parents, and that is cool. It is interesting, challenging, and a lot of fun! The only thing I’d say is having a few spare parts would be nice, just in case, since there are a lot of small pieces, but including the plastic bags to keep them all in is awesome! We love this game…it’s one of our new favorites!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is intriguing and out of the box. It took a bit of time to fully understand the game, but it was well worth it. You need to get each person across to their matching temple whilst collecting the most points. It is mostly strategic based with a hint of luck. The setup and opportunities are endless so this is not a game you will tire of.

We've discovered that Karuba is a great game to play on Zoom or similar platforms. If each household has the game, you can include many players. We were inspired by Bingo. With somewhat similar game mechanics, Bingo can include dozens or even hundreds of players. For games with more than 4 players online, we created a 1-point token for each temple, so a fifth player can also score points for completing a trail.

My family enjoyed our first game of Karuba. My thirteen year old daughter suggested that we play again tonight. She really like the sense of order in the game and the strategic nature. My fifteen year old completed the challenge of reaching the temples but I think we will catch up soon! My eleven year old was sceptical because he said HABA only makes little kids games but he acknowledged that Karuba is a challenging game with surprising depth. Bravo!
