A: My guess is plastic (Hamilton should answer this). Mine which appears identical (bought used) is thick glass which I think is a good choice. The weight probably helps with it not sliding around.

A: Mine was a used purchase with a glass jar. The best blender I have ever had including a highly computerized Oster (which was great but way too loud) and a vitamix which sounds like a lawn mower engine

Absolutely hate this thing. Needed a new blender had my previous one for years. It was smaller than this one and worked perfectly. Thought I’d upgrade. I don’t fill it halfway yet it it takes 30 mins to make a smoothie. That is usually still not fully blended. 🤨 the low button is stuck so don’t know if that’s suppose to be a thing. I want to return it but I’ve thrown out the box.
